These absolute fucking morons do you not believe the climate change exists. Further, they mock people who do believe it exists.
They are mocking Bernie(or Barry whatever) Sanders and his statement that Islamic terrorism exists because of climate change and climate change is the most serious threat we face as a society. I understand some people really do feel that way but it is an extreme view.

Their twitter account for some reason just tweeted a picture of the inside of the Paris theater post-attack (bodies included). Don't go looking for it, I feel sick. Why the fuck would you post that?
Callahan was pissed that it wasn't in the Herald this morning. Said that everybody should see it. It's like he thinks some people don't understand the severity of what happened and he's the only one that's tuned in.

Of course, he's spent much of he last 15 years suggesting that France isn't worthy of existence, so he probably thinks their horror is worth it to satisfy his bloodlust.

The glee in their voices when they talked about the accounts of people pulling bodies onto themselves to hide - just like a movie! - was awful.

And climate change is happening. The "debate" is whether it's man-made or whether it's possible to stop it without radically changing our way of life, etc. Does anyone actually think average global temperature isn't rising?

I mean, they're saying shit like, "hey, did it snow last year? I don't remember!"

They can read every stitch of evidence about deflategate, but ...

I'm not sure where else to put this, but does Jamie Collins really have shingles? These guys were talking about it this morning, but a search is not verifying anything. I assume (hope) they were just kidding around?

I hope so. It's a better outcome than some other possibilities. Look up former Pats tight end Daniel Fells, who almost lost a foot to MRSA, and to the 2013 Tampa Bay locker room outbreak, which ended several players' careers.

Oh god it's so embarrassing when this show attempts to do "bits". They just played a fake voicemail "from Tanguay's phone that he left behind" where some woman from "CVS" says that his anal wart cream and butt plugs are ready for pickup.

Minihane must want to kill himself that he has to pretend this is funny.

Not sure if this is a new leaf for Minihane or new medication, but he seems to be a billion times less angry lately. Sort of the baby face turn Dennis had after checking out of rehab. I'm not sure if it's necessarily better radio, but it may help keep him out of future suspensions.

Shots fired back and forth today between D&C and Toucher and Rich. I was listening to D&C during a T&R commercial and they were playing audio of T&R ripping them for wanting to have a writer from the Denver Post on who called the Pats soft. Dennis said that T&R are desperate because D&C caught up to and passed them in the ratings (I'm pretty sure this is blatantly false). They said they've never seen someone as untalented as John Wallach (which I agree with). They said he was the least talented person ever at WEEI and was somehow the most talented one on the sports hub. Minihane kept saying that his sources at Comcast tell him that T&R continually put up 0.0 ratings and that management is not happy with the show at all. He then started to attack Toucher but said he couldn't anymore because of a lawsuit Toucher has filed against him. I expect tomorrow to be a big pissing match back and forth between the morning shows.

So what were T&R's shots back?
D&C won the month of November, which seemed odd since I think T&R have had a mighty lead for quite awhile
guessing D&C are trumpeting a .03 win type scenario

Not to derail the thread, but you realize that global temperature has scarcely budged for the past 17 years, right? There is no (rational) debate that it rose during the last few decades of the 20th century, but yes, there is most certainly plenty of debate about whether or not it is actually still happening.

Didn't hear any shots back. I flipped between both from 8:30 to 9 this morning and what I heard on D&C was
1) They played the actual audio from Sportshub of T&R making fun of unnamed media members who wanted to have a columnist from the Denver Post on so they could pile on him
2) D&C and Kirk then just spent 10 minutes ripping everything from including: the fact that T&R were talking 3 on 3 hockey for the all-star game this morning, Wallach sucking, D&C beating them in the ratings, T&R putting up regular 0.0 ratings on Comcast

I figured that the shots fired back from T&R will be tomorrow, but I could be wrong and maybe they ended up saying something today.

I also didn't realize that D&C actually won the ratings for the month. Since sportshub had been dominating them for the past year, I simply figured it was Dennis doing his whole if you add in providence and Worcester and Hartford then WEEI wins the ratings rant.

I don't know anything about the actual lawsuit, but Kirk made a comment about not saying anything else about them personally because of the lawsuit. He made it sound as though it wasn't because of the threat of a lawsuit, but rather because of an actual one.

Sorry, I don't listen to either show unless it's a download of an interview so I'm out of the loop. Toucher is suing Minihane? Or is this just a running joke that I'm missing.
Minihane keeps repeating the Fred is suing him and Fred's constantly denied it so who knows.

I was wondering what sparked Fred and Rich for mocking the people talking about the Denver Post article. It was pretty obvious they were making fun of D and C. I'm surprised they'd play a competitors show on WEEI. Seems like a dumb idea in general.

Listening to Minihane talk about Fred is borderline uncomfortable. I obviously don't know the whole story, but he acts as though he totally intimidated Fred at the Super Bowl and was gloating how Fred totally turtled when he was confronted.

Maybe Kirk is the type where he is so crazy he is scary, but I have a hard time thinking another radio guy is actually scared of him. He plays the fake tough guy pretty well on the radio.

Fred mentioned on the air that he was going to "talk to a lawyer" about something Kirk said, I forget what it was about but even the T&R guys seemed to think that was too far. Kirk has been going on for a while about the lawsuit which I'm virtually certain doesn't exist and is just an ongoing gag by him.

They really do seem all spun up on winning one month. Between today and one of the WEEI's managers losing it on Chad Finn on Twitter a week or so ago for not writing a whole article about it they come off as obsessed about it.

That is admittedly fascinating that D&C beat T&R (no matter how small) in the November ratings. In just the last quarter ratings, T&R crushed:

In the specific day segments, The Sports Hub’s “Toucher and Rich” program finished first in morning drive (6-10 a.m.) with a 14.7 share. WEEI’s “Dennis and Callahan” program, which also features Kirk Minihane, was third (8.1). Last summer, D&C edged T&R, 8.3-8.2.
https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2015/09/30/sports-hub-dominates-summer-radio-ratings/FXbmsmCaSU1JEviWy1imZL/story.html

That's a pretty dramatic shift in a short period of time, especially with Patriots and Bruins in full swing.

It's really bizarre and on the other side, T&R really haven't taunted about winning in years. Usually they just say a thank you to listeners and send out a tweet. They have mostly been staying above the fray (until today I guess. I missed it). D&C and Kirk seem obsessed with the T&R.

Pretty standard (and desperate) tactic by the show trailing in the ratings. Target your competition and hope you can get the other guys to engage. If they do, on air, then you have a portion of their audience who will change the channel to see what you are saying about them, and you hope they stay. Problem with the tactic, of course, is that you have to do something compelling to get them to stay. Other than keep talking about the other guys of course. That's usually where the trailing show fails.

Tanguay firing out some hot takes this morning. Said that Gronk could've played Sunday night after his injury, "once they found out there was no major injury." Both Kirk and Dennis jumped on him about having to wait to see if there was structural damage and play it safe. Tanguay said, "no, they just have to do that range of motion thing. They knew he was fine."

Says Gronk's dad is the reason he isn't playing this week.

And talking about Gronk's pain threshold. Kirk saying he played the SB on a broken ankle. Gary says, "well, he couldn't feel it, so he wasn't really in pain."

I flipped to WEEI for two seconds this morning, heard Tanguay say "have sex with a Perkins waitress in a parking lot," and moved right along. He's radio poison.

If Tanguay were just the garden variety talk radio, rodeo clown/troll, I wouldn't even have any inclination to discuss him at all. But there's something very off about him. Particularly his leering/uncomfortable comments about sex and attractive young woman( I know, P & G, glass houses). But most of that always feels more than a little bit tongue and cheek to me. His stuff strikes me as really creepy and tormented. Throw in the theatrical, over top temper tantrums, and he really seems to be a bizarre little freak. With some legitimate problems/issues.

I tend to tolerate a lot on my one hour morning drive into work and usually switch over to D&C during commercial breaks for Toucher and Rich. There are a few guests that usually make me switch back to listening to commercials...the likes of Lenny Clarke and Mr. Skin (even though I am legitimately impressed with his knowledge). Tanguay is the first host of any show where I'd rather listen to a break or turn off the radio entirely instead of actually listening to the host.

The thing with D&C&psycho is too many of the interviews become about them. The Brady interview was good today but Tim from ESPN came on after and it was just them making it about them and yelling over each other. Brutal radio.

Meanwhile T&R had Chung on this morning which was also brutal radio since Chung wouldn't answer the most basic question.

Weren't they banned by their PD from talking about Obama a few years ago? Apparently that's been lifted. Hopefully this somehow leads to their downfall.

These guys are brutal on the muslim-immigration issue.

I listened for five minutes before throwing on Simmons' podcast and heard, "Oh, did you see someone through a severed pig's head near a mosque. Obama is going to LOVE THAT! Now he's got something to point to. DISCRIMINATION!"

I mean, the leading Republican candidate just called for a ban on all muslim immigration to the United States, even for vacations, and they're skeptical that islamophobia is real?

Sounds like V&N Radio, only less crazy than the forum.

So four hours of Tanguay saying if Gronk doesn't play he's a wuss.

When I got into my car at 6:00 this morning I heard that fucking useless moron's voice and I immediately changed the channel. Why they run him out there is confounding to me. Their research data must show that most people like Tanguay. How this is so is lost on me. Or they could be just giving us all the middle finger.

The pattern is:
Tanguay comes on
Tanguay says something stupid
D/C/M spend the morning tweeting about it
Tanguay stands by stupidity

Repeat

I, too, am unable to fathom why Tanguay has a job, even a substitute job. I can only conclude that he pays them to be on the air.

Isn't he basically Adolfo or Stuttering John. A foil to be made fun of by the hosts?
