He had a 1.96 ERA in 7 starts for Naranjeros de Hermosilla in the Mexican League this past winter. Robinson Leyer was also on that team so likely a Red Sox scout was there too.

Kickham sounds like a town I think I passed through the way to Shellham and Releaseham.

Kickham when they're up
Kickham when they're down

Kickham when they're up
Kickham when they're down
Kickham when they're up
Kickham all around
Hopefully virtual josh kantor gets the message.

In the 36th game thread of the season yesterday, there were 65 posts; the question is by the time we get to game #60, will there be at least 60 posts?

If I were a gambling man, I'd say no.

I would have chimed in yesterday, but I had a sock drawer that was in serious need of rearranging.

So I contribute this in todays thread.

You're welcome.

I like it better when our starting pitcher doesn't have an offensive tackles or a tight ends number.
Whoever #79 is who got shelled yesterday, he looks like a guy who was walking down Landsdowne Street around 8:00pm and a coach on the Red Sox who stepped outside the park for smoke saw him and said "Hey buddy, you want to throw a couple of innings tonight?"................................

I think the last game of the season will be well "attended." It's the only close to "normal" thing around -- the end of another baseball season as Fall closes in. Whether the end is in late October or late September -- even *that* has some meaning in an otherwise meaningless, and incredibly abnormal season. I'm enjoying some NHL and NBA, but the Finals in September isn't normal.

Right, a lot of members will chime in to say goodbye for another "season"...……...and I'm glad you mentioned the NHL and NBA; so what are they going to do, finish their seasons in September and then do what? Take a quick break and start over or take a longer break and start the 202/21 seasons later?

Sorry, I'm sure the most know the answer, but I'm in the dark here...……………….

Mike Kickham is no longer scheduled to start for the Red Sox on Wednesday against the Braves.

There may come a game thread where there are more posts before the game than during the game.

Are you kidding me? That's my new favorite player, Robert Stock! His wife was awesome on Twitter last night! He's my guy for the rest of the season now.

When I saw this, I got my hopes up that they would start Tim Wakefield instead.

He's in the area, he's working for NESN, he can probably still throw a knuckler 60 feet 6 inches, and he last pitched in the majors only a couple years earlier than Kickham has. Why not start him? I'd 1000% rather watch that.

hash tag # Start Tim Wakefield!! hash tag # pound sign shift-3!!

Kickham is in. Last appearance in MLB 6 years ago. Last haircut, 2 years ago.
