Not particularly well written (the pun in the opening sentence is brutal), but an interesting look nonetheless into how Keith Foulke is being used as a "bullpen mentor" for the Sea Dogs and elsewhere:

Considering Foulke at one time didn't seem to actually like playing baseball, this is a bit of a turnaround for him, and maybe something of a gamble for the Sox. Is this the dude you'd like young players hanging around with?

Foulke one time made a comment that he didn't really like watching baseball on TV. Somehow a lot of people took that as him not liking baseball at all. There's a huge difference between the two.

Doesn't the "Keith Foulke Can Do Whatever He Wants and We Just Smile and Nod" rule kind of apply here? The man did basically give the team his arm :)

They took it as him not liking baseball at all, because he said he didn't like baseball at all, and only cared about pitching.
I remember that article well...

That article quotes him as saying he doesn't like WATCHING baseball, and then the article goes on to falsely conclude he doesn't like baseball at all.

"I wouldn't consider myself a baseball fan," said Foulke. "When I'm away from the game, I'm literally away from it. I don't think about it. I don't watch it. I don't like watching the sports shows. What I love is pitching and the friendship of a team itself."
Also, I can't believe we don't have a joke in here yet about him mentoring the ball-catchers on the foul lines.
