Somehow K9 Web Protection got on my computer. No one said they installed it, and I believe them.

It can't be uninstalled without a password which no one knows. I really don't want to get a new password because it seems like a scam. Is this program legit ?

This is all strange.

Is there a simple way to remove it without giving an e-mail address away ?

I have never posted in here so don't use big words or words that involve knowledge.

It's a real program: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K9_Web_Protection
It's basically a parental control program for web browsing.

According to what I read, you should be able to uninstall it as the administrator of the computer.

I've never actually used it or uninstalled it though, so perhaps someone else would have direct experience.

Easiest route is to set up a "burn" email account at GMail, Lycos, Hotmail, whatever, and then use that account to execute the uninstall via the K9 "forgot password" link.
