You rarely see it, but why doesn't a 3B on a play like that just tag the runner coming in from second?

I guess Bradley was playing kind of shallow and the ball got to the wall pretty fast, more liner than popup. He did what he could.

well, 3 pitches after that long single the inning is over. that's good.

but can we even score 3 runs today? and we probably need more? show some life? the offense hasn't scored a legit run (that wasn't a Pesky Pole cheapie, or a poorly played bloop double) since the 2nd yesterday.

Vaz got worked on the first two pitches: slow curve he wished he'd swung at for strike one, same pitch outside for swinging strike two.
