I think the Bruins and Iginla figure something out. It makes too much sense for both sides. Iginla was the perfect fit on the Krejci line, he seemed to like playing here, and the Bruins still probably give him the best chance at a Cup.

Plan B seems to be Radim Vrbata. He's good enough, and probably underated having played in the desert for several years. Maybe they kick tired on the corpse of Dany Heatley, too given the Ottawa connection. Heatley is a left shot though.

This has to be one of the weakest UFA classes in a long time.

Having said that, one intriguing name for the B's would be David Booth who shouldn't get a huge payday but was a very good player in FL and is still fairly young.  Another reclamation project would be Devin Setoguchi.  If you can get either for 1yr 2-3M that would be good value.

Booth hasn't really been the same since his concussions. Not sure what the deal was with his time in Vancouver but his head problems scare me.

Great deal for Pittsburgh. Money not a huge concern for Ehrhoff, he's getting paid by Buffalo for the next decade and a half.

4 years for Mark Fayne, 5 years for Benoit Pouliot. $4m AAV for Pouliot, not clear yet on Fayne.

Holy shit, Oilers.

edit: looks like Pouliot will be this year's Clarkson - let's see if Bolland can get some team to one-up Edmonton.

That Pouliot contract is the latest example why this league has lockouts every 5 years.  Teams can't help themselves.

With Lev Praha withdrawing from the KHL due to financial issues, 6'2 Czech winger Jiri Sekač is rumored to be drawing interest from NHL teams.

He has played stateside before in the USHL - not unlike Damien Brunner, this would be a pretty interesting flier to take on a high-bonus ELC for a cap-conscious team like the B's.

I've seen reports that Montreal is the favorite for Sekac.

Oilers are disaster. Spend all their money up front and the defense remains a joke.

Damn. Habs get a very high 2nd rounder for dumping Gorges' contract.

Hate to say it but Bergevin has been fantastic.

And as I say that, he signs Tom Gilbert for 2 years - I guess Doug Murray wasn't immobile enough for MB  :fonz:

Guys are getting PAID today. Don't like that Cammalleri deal either. At this point, Grabovski has to be hitting another lottery. No surprise he's leaving Washington.
