It was but good job keeping it tied after the passed ball put the winning run on second with no one out.Tied 12-12. Really shitty outing by Pressly
Yes it was. The last out was hit hard, but not hard enoughIt was but good job keeping it tied after the passed ball put the winning run on second with no one out.
This was a really weird ball live. Looked from my POV, just behind home, slightly first base side that I thought it was going to be a routine foul ball to the section above where I was sitting. The Baty ball did twist pretty unusually:

Rojas is impressive. He is capable of great plays. I saw him rob Marcelo Mayer of a HR in Portland last month:Johan Rojas's first play in the majors

Although the Pirates have been as bad as anyone since their hot start. They started 20-8 and are just 21-44 since.Giants come out of the break hot and sweep Pittsburgh. That’s going to be an interesting team to watch before the deadline.
But they also had a 95.4% chance of this being a wasted season when Shane Bieber went on the IL and Stephan is just reminding us of that.Cleveland had a 95.4% win probability with 1 out in the 8th.
The stadium is too dark. It looks like a gloomy warehouse. And the seats behind the plate are far up. The background reminds me of the Metrodome.I gotta be honest, something just seems off about Globe Life Field. I know why they left the old barn, but it had a character to it.
I haven't seen a lot of it on TV yet (even this weekend I was spared from watching half the series), but I can't fathom what possessed them to build such an ugly monstrosity. It's dark, dank, looks like a warehouse on steroids and for some reason they can't even get the camera view of the action as close or as low as every other baseball stadium. Of course, it fits in perfectly with the aesthetics of DFW.I gotta be honest, something just seems off about Globe Life Field. I know why they left the old barn, but it had a character to it.
And now the Rockies are going Rockies it awayCJ Cron hits a two-out slam for the Rockies ... 5-3 Colorado in the 8th against the MFY
Daniel looks terribleAnd now the Rockies are going Rockies it away
Rockies got a break. They best win it hereDaniel looks terrible
I was just there for the 1st time yesterday. I would agree; it gave me cathedral vibes. The stadium is too dark. It looks like a gloomy warehouse. And the seats behind the plate are far up. The background reminds me of the Metrodome.
Side note to the recent Angels drama: don't count out the Padres yet! They've way underplayed their pythag by a lot and a lot of their guys have been better lately (Manny Machado, for instance - his numbers still look bad because his April/May were so terrible, but he's been decent since getting off the IL). They've got a lot of ground to make up, but the teams ahead of them have problems of their own. Plus you know they'll be aggressive at the deadline if they're even a little close.
They are tied at 20 since yesterday now.Astros-Angels ... lather, rinse, repeat
A serious blast. That was freaking launchedTucker breaks the 20-20 tie with a blast to RF, 9-7 now.
That was a BOMB.Tucker breaks the 20-20 tie with a blast to RF, 9-7 now.
Nope. They should pay him whatever he wants. It's the only reason anyone goes to Angel games.I don’t understand why the Angels are so bad, but they are. Absolutely have to move Ohtani.
