Robles' to-date season ERA is 0.00, no hits allowed. 0-1
Not sure what you’re looking at, 1.1 1 3 2 1 2 in our time-space continuum. :)

My contribution is that every pitch Milner has thrown this season has gone for a walkoff grand slam.

how many innings will starters realistically pitch this year? Cy Young awards will be kind of strange, I kind of hope some mid tier guy goes off for two months and wins it. Giolito probably torched his season's ERA in his start last night, 7 ER in 3.2 innings. An outing like that is gonna be pretty hard to get over in just two months.

The worst rundown you will ever see in a MLB game just now, Cubs/Brewers.

Cain is on second, hard grounder to the SS and they have him trapped between 2B and 3B. However, he keeps them in the rundown so long that that the batter is safely standing on second, but as Cain is running back to second, he realizes no one is covering first and motions to the guy standing on second to run back to first, which he does without a throw. This has cost the Cubs and Darvish one run so far, inning still going.

A’s win. Overtime rules are bullshit. Fuck Rob Manfred.
When I'm watching a game with cardboard cutouts in the background, I find it hard to be too offended by the new extra inning rules.

An improvement would be to have cutouts of the people on the Beatles Sargent Pepper's cover, behind home plate.

Ground Zero
Joe West squeezing Charlie Morton and costing him a couple runs, 3-0 Toronto.
Joe West 1 - Rays 0 to start the season. Some things stay the same regardless of apocalypses. Rays win 4-1 today behind good start from Yarbrough and big hits from Lowe and Ji-Man.
Rays games honestly don’t look or sound any different than normal. Extra home field advantage??

The Astros have scored 15 runs in two games. That lineup is still stacked, with or without trash cans. They probably have the whole “Us against the world” thing going on in the clubhouse too. Still a dangerous team.

Seattle being awful helps too.

I'm rooting for "the world".

Yeah their top 15 or so guys are still superb, but their depth behind them is pretty thin. They are still the favorites in the West though.

Truly shocking that these umps are bias towards the Yankees. That was a clear check swing. I'm glad these fuckers managed to grab Trump to cement themselves as the most hateable franchise in sports. Despicable!

In two innings pitched, James Karinchak allows one baserunner who was promptly thrown out trying to steal second... but Karinchak could lose the game because of fake extra innings.

Sounds like Fox brought back the old baseball theme music from a few years ago. Is that a new change? Either way, I approve.

Now we just need the old NBA on NBC music back on July 30th. A man can dream...

Carlos Carrasco's first start since May 30, 2019, looks good so far: 9 up, 9 down, 5 K's, only 35 pitches.

Twins spot Kenta Maeda a 4 run lead before he takes the mound for them the first time. Jake Cave hit a grand slam off Reynaldo Lopez, who then left the game a couple of batters later with an apparent injury.

The Klubot might have gotten rusty. Still an atrocious deal by Cleveland, but so far it just looks bad for everyone -- a starter who couldn't get past his first inning for a reliever who's losing a year to a steroid suspension + a 4th outfielder who hasn't played a game yet due to COVID-19.

Wow, Ohtani looked AWFUL and leaves without recording an out. Obviously rust but I’ve always preferred seeing him as a full-time hitter.

Yeah, I also saw his start and it's troubling he was only at 92-94. That level of velocity will not keep him in the rotation.
Agreed. Velocity is a concern if he wasn’t intentionally holding some of it back to try to get better control. We’ll see what he shows next Sunday but clearly going to be a mixed bag this year.
