The throwing at the Astros stuff is beyond childish. They got caught, they've been punished. Throwing at them exacts what sort of "revenge?" It's only going to lead to someone getting injured.
While the rational part of my brain agrees with you, when I watched the video the emotional part of my brain reacted in a fashion similar to when I learned that Louie Gohmert has Covid-19.

With the state of the Red Sox staff, they should consider adding him.
The Marlins at this point need live, uninfected bodies in order to play some games, so my guess is that they'll claim him, too. But I guess the Sox will have waiver priority if it's based on current record.

Maybe stick to shooting things online and Bradfo podcasts, Joe.

Though I do appreciate you reminding me about Jomboy's channel.

Understandable, but I think it's easier to accept because it doesn't involve a favorite team. But imagine if Brady came back from his suspension, and some defender decided to take it out on him using questionable tactics.

Usually the waiver priority starts with the worst to best record in the same league, then worst to best in the other league, so any NL team would have priority over the Sox.

I like this Mega-East division. The regular season would be much more enjoyable with spreading divisional games out and not having to see the same 4 teams a bajillion times.

Yeah, the Dodger announcers were basically rooting for the Astros to get thrown at in last night’s game, well before it happened. People are pissed and will probably continue to be for a long time, understandably.

I’m not an Astros defender by any means, they get what they deserve as far as criticism and jokes, but the Dodgers playing the victim card to excuse eight years of October choking is funny to me. Not the Astros fault Howie Kendrick hit the grand slam. Not the Astros fault they lost in five to the Sox. Not the Astros fault for all the DS and NLCS loses.

Amusingly Joe Kelly has had a lot more to do with those eight years than the Astros have:

2013: Kelly, then on the Cardinals, hits the red-hot Hanley Ramirez with a pitch in game 1 of the NLDS and cracks his rib, Hanley isn't the same, Cardinals win the series.
2018: Kelly, then on the Red Sox, pitches in all five WS games without allowing a run, 6 scoreless innings in total.
2019: Kelly, now on the Dodgers, comes into a tie game in the tenth in the deciding game 5 of the NLDS and gives up four ERs on the aforementioned Kendrick grand slam.

Maybe the Dodgers should be throwing at Kelly?

Baby Yaz with two HR tonight, including a game-winner. Both absolutely crushed.

Justin Upton with his 300th HR last night. I always saw him as kind of a bust but he will probably end his career with like 40-45 WAR and has a pretty good shot at 400 HR. Pretty solid career overall.

Bieber through 2 starts: 2-0, 14 ip, 7 hits (all singles), 0 runs, 1 bb, 27 K's. James Karinchak with a 6-pitch inning for his first MLB save... Brad Hand had pitched 2 days in a row, so he wasn't available, but no one wants to see him in a save situation anymore anyway.

27 Ks through two starts in team’s first 10* games is an MLB record since at least 1901. Previous record was 26, tied between 1996 Randy Johnson and 2002 Curt Schilling.

*Not chosen because it’s round, but because in theory with a relatively modern rotation, each of the five starters should be afforded typically two starts.

Wade Davis still stucks. HR, BB, BB, HR to Padres' top 4 hitters with one more out to get.

Kimbrel just gave up 2 bombs, but it was a 6-1 game so he'll be ok... maybe? but that ERA is ballooning.

SD is 6-2 and leading the NL West (very) temporarily, despite this:

Kirby Yates, 2019: 60.2 IP, 8 ERs allowed
Kirby Yates, 2020: 2.1 IP, 4 ERs allowed

Maybe the Sox should have figured out a way to get Kenta Maeda.
I wouldn't put a lot of weight on a performance against a team that's only scored in 2 at-bats in their last 4 games. Maeda was throwing the exact same pitches in the 5th inning as the 1st, because everyone knows Cleveland's lineup is incapable of making adjustments. Giolito said as much when he shut them down the other day.

You could see this happening at a home game but you would think on the road during COVID times you’d either be holed up or at least be out with teammates. Just a strange situation.

Ohtani is an absolute mess right now. His first start he literally didn't get an out, today in the 2nd inning, he faced seven batters:

BB
BB
BB
K
K
BB
BB

So he walked in two runs and was pulled, his season ERA is 37.80 pending the three inherited runners.

Was just about to post this. I’d be really tempted to just make him full time DH and see if you can work out control issues for next year. He is going to kill them every time he goes out there for the foreseeable future.

Braves ace Soroka fell off the mound when going to cover 1st and may have a major injury. out of the game, couldn't put weight on his right leg
