Yeah, he just missed hitting a 4th home run in the 9th (settled for a double).
Butera threw him a 50-something mph pitch. Dickerson didn't even swing hard and it hit the base of the wall. If it was a bit faster he probably goes yaya again.

These Giants are kind of fun.

@Brand Name - is that Sonny Gray streak that was cited around here a few weeks ago dead after tonight?
Nope. 5 hits is still less than 6. Reds PR Twitter made that tweet right a few weeks ago by noted Gray’s record only applies to non-openers. And then they removed it in a more recent tweet making them wrong again like morons. I dare them to celebrate this start as upholding as much. Haven’t checked but that’s embarrassing if so.

So: Giants almost became only the 8th ever NL (never an AL club!) to score in all 9 innings tonight. Oddly, 3 of the last 4 times this has happened? The Cubs (Colts) were involved, going back to 1897, in a rare 30+ run game. The last time it didn’t involve the Northsiders? The Giants were the beneficiary, 6/1/23, in Philadelphia.

So it looks like the Giants have a good offense. Wouldn't have guessed it at the beginning of the year. After tonight's outburst they have scored the third most runs in baseball.

Pillar is the star of today's game. His triple in the seventh led to two runs giving RS the lead for the first time in the game. He had made a great wall catch to end the top of the inning.
