I know we were all excited after the break but losing a game where we have a super precarious 1-run lead on the road late to one of the most talented teams in baseball isn’t really that bad.
You're not wrong, but in the context of facing LHSP the next two days, this one felt like a... I don't want to say a must win, but it felt pretty important.

I also have trauma from last year's series, so blowing another lead against them hurts a lot.

Pivetta was still looking great and was taken out at 90 pitches. Steal another inning to make it one less you have to rely on the pen.

Alas.

I said to my kid after 6 “watch Cora take him out”. Sure enough. Pivetta-> Kelly->Jansen would have been so much safer. WTH, is 90 pitches the new 100?

Bingo - Cora sucked ass tonight. I’m not a huge Cora guy, but I think he’s done a really good job this year. Maybe his best yet. But horrible tonight.

Quick hook on NickyP was ridiculous, and if you go to a lefty go to Booser not Bernie. BB has been unreliable lately

When you have a chance to pitch to one of the greatest bases loaded hitters in history, you have to do it.

This is why we don't start game threads early. The baseball gods care not for travel plans. Lesson learned, I hope.

(Also, score some fucking runs, guys. A one-runb lead is hardly ever enough to hold onto all game long, especially against the LA Yank-, I mean Dodgers. You're asking your pitchers to basically be perfect. Square up the fucking ball. Most of you had four whole days off; the only one who didn't was the one who produced a run.)

FF with the Dodgers is 19-37 in bases loaded situations. 4 of the 19 are HR/Grand Slams
