I have no idea whether that guy has any real connections.
 
It does seem plausible to me that Edelman and his agent overestimated their market.  If Smith is only getting 3/11 right now, I can't see Edelman getting Amendola/Tate money.  There are a lot of other mid-level WR options floating around.

Julian's best fit is clearly here in New England. If the money is similar, you'd have to hope he'd be able to see that..

He is a kid with a healthy ego, but my sense is that he also knows that a big part of his success is that Ugghs guy on the other side of the spiral. Would love to get Edelman back, especially given how stupidly this team set the market for his type of player last off-season.
