UMass Boston would love to try to pull off an eminent domain landgrab.

If he really wanted to streamline things and minimize office space he would give the baseball beat writers and columnists a locker at Fenway and let them work out of the clubhouse  Put CHB in a locker next to Papi and maybe he lightens up.

Why stop there? They could just turn some of the luxury boxes into apartments and the beat writers could all just live there!

Is the old WLVI-56 building next door (to the north) is still vacant? It's another 1.5 acres or so that could potentially be added to development plans for the 16+ acre Globe property.

Should we have a thread to detail changes at the Globe under Henry's leadership?

For now, I'll drop this here. BetaBoston launched yesterday -- a "Boston Globe site" that serves as something of a techie trade pub. It will compete directly with BostInno, I assume, and is thought to be the first of what some predict will be many spoked sites put out by the Globe. (John Allen is expected to eventually helm a global Catholicism pub that operates under the Globe's umbrella, as another example of the strategy.)
