Expected to find a topic on Joe here already, but no such luck. Joe does some of the best baseball writing out there with his newsletter -- highly recommended even in the doldrums of the offseason: http://www.joesheehan.com.

I know it makes me a bad person, but I've never forgiven Sheehan for 2011. His Red Sox followers/members kept telling him that the bullpen was held together with masking tape and baling wire and that the whole team just seemed to be heading in a bad direction. He kept insisting that we were a bunch of fatalistic crybabies and that there was ABSOLUTELY NO WAY the Sox would miss the playoffs. I know everyone makes mistakes, but his serial condescension as the Sox spit the bit was just too much. I quit subscribing to his newsletter shortly after that and never went back.
