Not that anyone seriously thinks he's going into free agency after the season* he's had, but he did address the topic this week.

"I don't know how [player evaluation] is going to happen," Martinez said. "I honestly feel like I would not want to be a free agent during this time for that reason. You just don't know. Everything is up in the air for guys like that. It's weird."
But that doesn't mean he won't consider it

Still, when asked if that means he'll reject free agency this offseason, Martinez offered a short answer.
"Negative," Martinez said.

Really don't think he does. This was such a weird season and his numbers are down from his averages. He's made a ton of money already; upwards of $150MM. I like him a lot and hope he stays. He apparently likes playing for Boston and the fan base. He'll be 35 years old when his contract ends. Just don't see him getting a ton of money from anyone anymore.
