Iphone help for dummies

Iphone 6 dead, keep trying to restart it (by pressing and holding down power and home buttons), apple logo keeps flashing on and off and phone won't come back. Any tips other than replace it? I did recently get a new battery, and it is charged. I tried to restore it on my computer via itunes, and it said it couldn't be done.

All set, I went to Verizon store and they pronounced it dead and I get a new refurbished 6 on my insurance. I had just hoped there was some quick fix last night that I hadn't thought of.

OK, since this is the dummy thread, here I go. Unfortunately my 5SE cracked recently and I have switched to the 6S.

With the 5SE, when I received incoming phone calls, the caller was only identified if they were in my contact list. When people/companies who I didn't have in as a contact called, their phone number showed on the incoming call screen.

Now, with the 6S, when I receive incoming phone calls, the name of the business calling me is what shows up instead of the phone number as it did previously.

Any advice as to how to get the "non contact" phone numbers to show up as opposed to their business names?

I have no idea what is doing this for incoming calls but if you find out let me know because I want to turn this on.

On outgoing calls, which I search in Safari for the business, it shows the outgoing business name (restaurant etc) and on incoming calls it shows the number and if something in my email has it it shows Number and underneath "Maybe: Joe Smith"
