And if you are just trying to keep track of stuff in your house then you can use one of the many bluetooth trackers that are out there.

I had forgotten about the Tiles because of their range.  Ideally, this would locate a lost item anywhere - coffee shop I was at yesterday, the mall parking lot my wife dropped it in, the van filled with candy and puppies that picked up my son for me after school - not just around the living room and kitchen.

So, I'm looking at 1Password and, most likely because I'm stupid, I can't figure something out.  If I purchase this for $34.99, will I be able to use it on all of my devices?  I've got an iMac, Macbook Air, iPhone, and iPad (yes, I'm a junkie).  If I want to share it with my wife, I could get the $48.99 Family Pack but would she be able to put it on her devices as well or only one of them?  Last stupid question for right now, the family pack comes with 5 licenses.  If I purchase this and give one license to my 17yo daughter, she won't have access to any of my stuff - correct?  Yes, I looked at the site but I couldn't figure it out.

1password clearly says you can sync it to Dropbox, so I'm assuming it would work, but you know what happens when you assume.

Yaz,

Yes. 1Password syncs effortlessly and transparently (through iCloud, Dropbox or both) across all your Mac and iOS devices. If you buy the Family Pack then your "vaults" (Passwords, notes, credit cards" will be separate. I can't recommend a password manager highly enough. Consider Lastpass and Keepass (they're cheaper and work across Windows/Linux/Android) but I like 1Password best. It's so polished and "out of the way." Especially if you're a Mac/iOS house, 1Password is really slick.

Edited to add: to get the syncing across Mac and iOS, each person will also need the $10 iOS app. But if you've got one app, you can put it on your iphone, tablet, etc. And if your daughter has the app, she can put it on her devices.

So, if I buy the $10 app I can put it on all of the devices in our iTunes account, but I'll need the family plan for everyone to have their own vault.  That's what I thought, but I wanted to be sure by asking others who use it.  It ain't cheap, but it seems to be worth it.  All of our devices are Mac/iOS, so I'm thinking 1Password is likely our best choice.

I never realized how awesome Dropbox was on a mobile phone. I've been syncing movies to it and watching straight from my shared folder.
LOVE Dropbox.  I've got 11.8GB.  I'll be happy to share a referral with anyone looking for one that nets us each a half gig of extra storage for free.  Can never have too much.

Yeah, it breaks down like this:

$34.99 (single license): your passwords will sync between your iMac and your Macbook
$44.99 (single license + app): your passwords will sync between all your Apple stuff
$48.99 (family license) + (app * number of people your house): everyone will have their own vaults and be able to sync it between all their Apple stuff.

AgileBits used to offer bundles of the Mac and iOS version together, but reading their site it looks like the app is sold exclusively through the app store now.

For anyone with kids under 4,Little Fox is free today. The guys who make this easily pump out the most polished games/apps for kids on the platform. It's usually 2.99 and well worth the download

Bump. I'm looking for a new radio streamer since Tunein just dropped a phenomenal turd of an update last week. Does anyone have something they'd recommend? I usually use it to listen to T&R in the morning....I'd love to be able to pause a live stream so I can skip the commercials.

Thanks!
