You can already control the old Apple TV with an iPhone. I doubt they'll remove that.
Right, but as a gaming controller is a completely different case.

Yes, I have the AppleTV and do that sometimes, but i) it bugs me when I lose my remotes; ii) my AppleTV is in the guest room and I don't want to have to give my non-iPhone-using guests my iPhone just for them to use the device.
NortheasternPJ said:If this is $199 or under i'm buying one today.
derekson said:I admittedly lose my Apple TV remote all the time too. Its curved shape seems to make it slide right between cushions or under things.
derekson said:32 GB base storage on this and the iPad Pro. Too much to hope they'll do that on the phone too?

Yeah, that was my first thought when I saw that, I can finally leave the MBP at home when I need to meet clients. I'm actually considering two iPads for the first time (a Mini to serve as my reader since I really don't want to be using the iPad Pro to read/relax).canderson said:I want the iPad Pro for my design business. That's a huge thing for us freelancers who go visit clients and need to make quick on-the-fly changes without lugging around a Macbook Pro and mouse.

I liked that "Volume Control" was one of the features of the Apple TV remote. A great feature that was on every single TV remote until Apple TV came around.

But will be incredibly annoying when you can't customize what you want to have the actions be as it'll be preloaded by default without user adaptions I'm sure.derekson said:Being able to "right click" and do quick functions with an app without really launching the app seems like a great shortcut.
