We should do a SoSH ski trip next year.
Tempting and I am interested. I have three kids and lots of activities to navigate around in addition to work related travel but depending on where and when I might be able to do this.

My friends and I make sure to get together once a summer. Lots of kids (and work travel). We always figure out a date that works for everyone in a spreadsheet.

Early question re SoSH ski trip 2024-2025 (and parallel to preference for 90s rap): East Coast or West? Both?? Do 1 for East and 1 out West?
East coast rap, west coast skiing.

Should I start a new thread/poll for this? I've never attended the SoSH bash so I'm not familiar with any existing protocols (to the extent they exist) or if we want to use them.

Hi everyone, I'm a bit sheepish about posting this here, but I'm in the early stages of launching a company to take folks to Argentina to ski! Despite my best efforts, I won't be able to launch in time for the 2024 season, but I'm still planning to go down to Argentina to ski anyway and wanted to see if anyone was interested in joining. I'm looking to go in late August or the first half of September (willing to leverage LDW). If you're interested, let me know here or send me a PM and we can chat!

Also, I want to give a quick shoutout to @candylandriots and @dirtynine for their generosity and help, they've been awesome!!

When I'm ready to launch the company in earnest, SoSH will be among the first to know.

This is a straight-up awesome concept and @Zososoxfan is putting some fantastic thought and a ton of personal experience into the project. I don’t even ski and based on what I’ve seen I’m thinking pretty hard about booking a trip when the time comes… Congrats for getting this off the ground, Zo!

Sounds great.

And you may have solved the location quandary for the SoSH ski bash! East West Argentina

Yeah, I do ski...and can't wait to see more about this. Should be a lot of fun for anyone who goes!

Mrs. Frye and I are thinking of going to Mont-Tremblant in December. We would either drive from southern CT or maybe fly to Montreal and then get there somehow. Looks like the drive would be 7 1/2 hours for us, which might not be toooo different than flying, and I have no idea as to how to get there from the airport. Any advice as to what would be less brain damage for us?

Finished up the season (probably) with a great tour out of Rock Creek between Bishop and Mammoth. We got turned around on our main objective (Cat Ears) due to unconsolidated snow on steep rocks, but got great corn on nearby Hourglass Couloir. Was a hell of a season.

Got my last ski day in on Sunday with Arapahoe Basin's closing day. Lotta fun, the area did a great job pushing snow together to keep skiing open top to bottom. The infamous goat herd was out in full force and hanging out right next to the primary ski run open when the lifts started turning. Got to really ski with the goats for the first few runs of the day.

I'm not much of a photo taker in general, but here are some:

Love the shirt!

Anyone headed to South America this year? They’re getting crazy snow already.
I'm going to Argentina in the last week of August/first week of September. Let me know if you're interested in joining! I've been watching the snow totals grow and giggling like an idiot with each successive storm!

I wish, but I’d live to go back again in the future. I took a lot of out of towners this season and, uh, found out what the real number is for our “unlimited PTO”.

There wasn’t a ton of snow when we went to Chillan a couple years ago, but had a blast.

Seeing this late…

Didn’t realize you were a tele guy. You seemed a lot smarter than that.

Glad you got some June turns. This offseason is feeling a lot longer than last year’s for me.
