I'm going with the Twins also. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the Twins going back to the days when their AA team was in New Britain CT. Lots of good memories of the Rock Cats, like Brian Dozier giving my then four year old daughter a ball during a rain delay and having a conversation with her, Steve Tolleson giving her a really nicely autographed ball after she said "thank you" for signing her baseball card, meeting Liam Hendricks parents after a game (really nice people by the way) and having career minor leaguer Steve Hirschfeld become my daughter's "buddy" after he sat at our table at the Welcome Home Dinner that year. I just hope the Twins don't face the yankees along the way.

I never root for an AL team other than the Red Sox. I’m going for the Nats until they inevitably lose due to a managerial screw up, because ownership is too cheap to pay for a competent manager. After the Nats are eliminated, I’ll probably stop watching because my wife will be rooting for the Yankees and it’s easier to stay married if we don’t watch those bastards together.

Count me in for Cleveland as well. Read 'Francona' over the summer vacation. Brought back a lot of great memories (who can forget playoff-Tito?)

Not enough good things can happen to and for Tito Francona. Here's hoping that the Indians ownership sprung for a plush manager's office with a swinging half-door for the bathroom.

Late to the thread, but the more I think on it, the more I want the Astros to win - that way the 2018 Sox can say they wiped out the team that won the WS both the year before and the year after. Not that 2018 wasn't impressive enough on its own, but it would add yet another layer.

The Red Sox could also say this if the Dodgers or Yankees won, but I don't think it really adds anything to their amazing 2018.

They could say they beat next year's champs, but the Astros will have won in both 2017 and 2019, and only the Sox in 2018 could stop them. The Sox prevented a 3 peat, if the Stros win this year.
