How Likely Are You to Draft a Starter?

Can you link any of those stories? This is the first I've read of this.
This whole story of Kraft telling Bill to draft Mac is all from Felger with zero sourcing. Felger mentions it all the time.

Mike Giardi was on Toucher & TBD this morning and shot the whole scenario down after Fred asked him why this story is out there and if Mike heard about this.

You can see elements of this in these:

None of these (there's more like this) prove anything of course. Not even remotely close. But clearly (to me anyway) there were rumors pretty early on that Jones was really the pick favored by Kraft, and there's a little evidence to support that claim, if that's the lens through which you view this.

I do not know at ALL if it's true. I suspect it isn't, because I don't think BB would just give that over to Kraft without a fight unless he was like, "Eh, it's not my preferred pick here, but I can live with it."

I doubt Kraft suddenly got hands on.

If anything I could see Kraft saying "I'd really like you to draft a QB" and Bill saying "alright, this guy might be good"

I think Felger creates false narratives, and portrays them as fact so often and for so long, they take hold in the consciousness of the public as if they are in fact, sourced and true. 90% of the time, they aren't. He and Mazz just come up with a narrative they believe and run with it as fact all day long, for hours.

Strangely enough, he's a completely different guy on television, sticking to the actual shit that happened on the field for the most part.

And Ben Volin reinforced the unproven and lazy narrative after the Giants game. There is literally zero evidence that Kraft forced Bill to draft Mac. These clowns don’t have the sources inside the team to know this, so they make shit up.

I mean, we’ve seen Zappe, and he’s no better.

They don't even believe it. It's about making a living, and ratings are important. So they fabricate stuff, and people (even here) buy the stuff like it's news, hook line and sinker. It's bizarre.

Wasn't the whole Felgerism thing something along the lines of:
YOUR coach didn't like him. If he liked him he would've traded up to get him...
