As of now they are 3-22 .120 winning percentage. They finished over .500 in '21. They lost a lot of veterans. On the pitching side, Miley and Gray are gone. Castillo hasn't pitched yet. On the offensive side, they traded Winker and Suarez. Crazy stat for Suarez he hit 31 HR in '21 he had an OPS+ of 80. So he was an addition by subtraction? Lost Castellanos to free agency. Votto is injured but when he was playing he's been bad.

Miami (oh, Miami!)
Those stat blocks are kind of nuts - Pham and the 7 dwarves.

I was curious to see how bad Moustakas' contract has been. Answer - very bad. But the bRef player pics sort of sum it up.

He seems like a guy in his final years, but is currently pressing trying to get some wins for the Reds. I still think you get him in an order that is disciplined and he won’t press and will rebound.

Cincinnati has oddly played a more NL-West-centric schedule to this point than any NL West team… and gone 0-13. They play the Pirates this weekend, which by run differential is the 3rd worst team in baseball. Getting some more games against the Pirates and Cubs going forward should help and get them back on pace to win at least 30 games.

The all-time worst team ERA was the 1930 Phillies at 6.71. The Reds are currently at 6.86.
The all-time worst team BA was the 1910 White Sox at .2106. The Reds are currently at .2025*.

*The Diamondbacks are currently at .1908

The owners will never understand* that bad baseball is a terrible look and is killing the game.

*Though it's possible that maybe they do understand and just don't care.

What's going to be sad is if his career average dips below .300 and he ends up languishing on the HOF ballot for 15 years because of it.

They got rid of just about anyone not named Joey Votto over the last off season. No one thought that they’d be this bad, but they were t expected to contend.

Break up the Reds! Winners of 7 of 10 and now closer to being a 1st place team than the Red Sox or Orioles.

During Cincinnati's 11-game losing streak in April, the team scored a total of 20 runs. Today they scored 20 runs against the Cubs.

April: 3-18, 66 runs scored, 122 runs allowed
May: 11-12, 121 runs scored, 123 runs allowed

And 60 of those 123 runs they've allowed this month came in 5 games.
