Assuming you or Harold meant Koji?

This is probably common knowledge, but the scroll at the bottom of MLB Network just mentioned the new derby bracket format and the fact that each guy now only gets 7 outs in the first round. What do you guys think? I don't like it.

Oohhh.  WTF is Harold doing interviewing Koji's kid?  And I don't blame him for not talking to HR either.

Vicente Padilla story from Kurkjian about when Padilla signed his first MLB contract...he asked for $2000 more than was offered him to take care of his burro. He loved his burro.

Oh so they're bragging about "all with wooden bats". Yeah, but the balls are juiced more than Rafael Palmeiro on a B6 bender.

This weather pattern is odd as fuck. Going north to south. Polar vortex bullshit. If it was literally 1 mile east it would be dry.

Ridiculous and pathetic. The only worse parts of that segment were the 7,985 recordings of Berman blowing his load into the microphone.

So you don't enjoy the spunk he brings to the broadcast?

I'm not feeling the 7 outs thing.  Some of the biggest rounds from players I can remember seeing were in the first.  These guys get tired out, so why cap the round where they will be freshest and most likely to go on a Hamilton-like run?  I don't think they thought it through too well.

Why do I keep watching this shit every year?

If there was some way to watch it without Berman, it would still be a lot of fun.  He sucks the life out of it.  That said, every once in a while there is a run by a participant that is just a wonder to behold.  Those moments are worth it.

And Puig talking at length, with the translation taking seconds, is pretty cool.

Berman already gushing "That was awesome, awesome."

Dude, Puig speaks Spanish and spouted the same clichés one would say in English. It ain't a big deal.

Kruk arguing that Wainwright has had a better year than Kershaw.  The only argument you can make is that he has one more W and more innings.  Every other stat favors Kershaw.

I think he was more impressed by the fact that bilingual humans exist.  That's completely beyond the scope of what Chris Berman can comprehend.

Goes without saying, but we have to take everything Kruk says with a large grain of salt.

In other unfathomable news, John Kruk is actually far stupider than Harold Reynolds.
