This is easily the best Derby in years and they just started.

I assume it's so the kids don't get killed right?
I don't think this will be super exciting a few years in, but this is Ortiz aside as exciting as this thing's gotten since the Hamilton one. Here's to hoping they start to change it up every couple years.

The one thing the clock has solved is a batter's ability to catch a breath and just watch pitches. Now, it's all-go from the first ball across the plate, and the whole first round will probably be done in the time 4-5 batters would take in years past.

Pre-show they were talking about the balls being jacked-up. I wonder. Also, new format gets rid of the gold balls.
Ha, one of the kids lost the fly ball and was running around praying it wouldn't drop on her. That might hurt
