Chapman is a vile human piece of garbage I always hope gets lit up.
I love how Buck says he is being booed simply because he was with the Cubs when they beat the Indians in the WS. I know he can't really talk about it given that he is effectively a company man but Buck should have probably just skipped mentioning the booing altogether.

Pretty sure Joey Gallo should have gotten MVP but also it doesn't matter.

Yay, no injuries and one day closer to real baseball being back...

Vic Raschi, holy cow. He was a teammate of Phil Rizzuto, so Holy Cow.

Ah, Vic Raschi, the Springfield Rifle, also gave up Hank Aaron’s first homer. Also has the RBI record for an AL pitcher in one game with 7. To keep topical, he was known for a collision at home in 1950 with Indians catcher Jim Hegan, Vic tore his knee cartilage. Missed no time at all. Crazy.

Bieber joins only Sandy Alomar Jr. in 1997 and Pedro Martinez in 1999 to be named ASG MVP while playing for the host city of the game.

Bieber getting MVP ruins this game a bit. Did Cleveland fans really need a rimjob after the HRD gave everyone priapisms and then they got a good ASG for the release? They needed the refractory period, man. Just too much.

One of the worst MVP picks in the history of the exhibition. A clean 5th on three SOs? Wow, call Guinness! They need to get that in the book!

Some good research in there. The Springfield Rifle for his Springfield MA birth and upbringing. Went to Springfield Tech High School, probably pitched there.

And, there it is. Raschi pitched a complete game win over Boston in the last game of the season in 1949 when we had come into YS needing to win just one of two to clinch the pennant but lost both. Anyway, I bet you could find something every one of the Yankee stars in those years did to break our hearts. Then, this century happened. Ha!

The real MVP of All Star Weekend is the graphics department and scoreboard operator for the Indians.
