I couldn't get this to load on ESPN+, but I thought CSNE didn't blackout. They also weren't showing it so I don't know what the hell happened. Wins a win, even against a shitty DC team. And Buksa scored!

For me, ESPN+ shows Revs games but it never loads. I can stream it on the local NBC Sports Boston page, via an Xfinity subscription.

Revs dominating a bad Nashville team, but the scoreboard shows 0-0, and they look like they're about out of ideas in the 75th minute.

Turner had a terrific reaction save earlier.

This would be a very disappointing tie considering how bad Nashville is.

Nashville plays ultra-regressive soccer because Gary Smith starts four defenders and 3-4 DMs every game. They can't score, but they don't give up many goals because they just park the bus every game.

Wasn't for lack of chances, just less-than-clinical finishing and some competent goalkeeping from Willis. Disappointing, and if it weren't for the coronavirus I'd be disappointed in having spent my Saturday night this way.

Big win in Yankee Stadium today, which helps create a bit more separation between the Revs and the riff-raff hovering around the playoff line. It was nice to see Lee Nguyen put up some counting stats. Matt Turner is a beast.

So is DC going to come out hot tonight like some teams do after firing a manager?

Reverse jinx does it every time.

Really happy for Sapong. Seems like a great guy, hard worker, and his teammates love him. It’s been a tough year for him so far, so getting on the ledger is fantastic to see. Hopefully, this gets him going so that there is more edge to the Fire’s attack.

Two sets piece goals and an own goal, but beggars can’t be choosers. The Fire are right in the mix of a playoff spot, which would be good result for this season.

Get yer stinking Chicago Fire talk out of this thread, unless you want to talk about one of the great Revs' playoff wins over the Fire from 2005-07.

So I just found this out today, because when MLS announced 18 playoffs teams, I naïvely assumed 9 from each conference; however, now that Nashville is in the east, there are actually 10 spots in the east and 8 in the west, so the Revs have to finish 6th or better to avoid a play-in match. So earning those three points was imperative to keep some space ahead of RBNY.

Fascinating tidbit from SoccerAmerica’s Paul Kennedy. 10 of 11 Revolution starters played college soccer, while Sean Johnson was the only NYCFC starter to play in the NCAA.

Obviously that figure is skewed by injury and red card suspensions, but it’s very impressive that Arena was able to cobble together a cheap (and mostly American) XI and get the full three points in New York.

I didn't watch the game, but the Revs traveled to Red Bull Arena and beat the Montreal Impact 3-2. Five goals is like 2.5 games worth of goals for Revs' games!!

If results hold, NE will leapfrog NYCFC into fifth place. I don't see NE being able to claim any higher than that, but it would be a respectable outcome. And NYCFC just lost James Sands (who is emerging as an extremely un-flashy but highly effective DM) for the rest of the season due to a stress fracture.

It was a tremendous win considering the amount of squad rotation. Bye, Farrell, Kessler, and Bou had played nearly every important minute for the Revs entering tonight.

Anthony Fontana is just a Revs assassin for some reason.

Too little, too late at the end.

Big come-from-behind win tonight: 0-2 down to 4-3 FT. The Revs maintain sixth place and are in reasonable position to avoid the play-in game round.

Nashville lost its midweek match, so Revs only need a win or draw to finish 6th. Red Bull now presents the biggest threat, as they would hold the tiebreaker (wins) if they finished level on points with New England.

I’m not really sure what the Revs are trying to do. Teal and Tejon are the 2 in a 4-1-2-1 diamond; Tejon looks lost and Teal has been invisible.

…and here comes a formation change. The double sub brings in an extra defensive midfielder (Polster)

edit: nevermind, Polster is playing right back

A 4-4-2 diamond with no defense other than a DM who is "meh" at best defending has strong Couva Energy.

What is with this team and Philly? Feels like they've lost to the Bimbos like 4 times this year already.

Driving somewhere most likely
The Revs need a grass field. The field at Foxboro is an injury waiting to happen.
Completely agree, which reminds me isn’t it almost time for the yearly article about the Krafts wanting to build a stadium in Boston?

Last plans I can recall was for the inner belt area near Sullivan Square, but that has probably been the same for the past 5 or more years.

It's so, so nice to have an in-form Carles Gil back.

If the Revs had stronger central midfielders they'd be a legit darkhorse.

I DVR'd, sorry but--
Bou knows football! What a finish!

We're going to have to play the Bimbos yet again, aren't we?
