Everyone should read Joe Posnanski's The Soul of the Baseball. His telling of Mays seeing the Negro League Hall of Fame brings me to tears just thinking about it. He was so distraught and sobbing, knowing his heroes, those that he felt were better than him, never got the chance to prove themselves.

Wow! This was the best sports documentary I have seen in years. Is there any current major baseball leaguer who has 5 great tools like Willie Mays?
The guy in my profile pic? 16 SBs this year tied him for 20th in the AL, you know about the others.

If baseball breaks down and lets Bonds in, there's going to be some regret that by holding out as long as they did, they may have denied Willie Mays one last great moment at Cooperstown. Because he would have been the one presenting Barry had Bonds been inducted earlier, but the state of Willie's health probably makes that unlikely now.
