Hicks is out for 6 weeks, so there was no decision to be made there - he's done. The question was how he'd be replaced. Some thought they'd put DJ back in there and leave Peraza off, but that never made much sense to me. DJ seems like he's not gonna be himself until next year.

Hicks is a sneaky big loss. He took Pressly deep in one of the 9th Inning comebacks this year.
He also won a 2019 ALCS game against Verlander with a HR off the RF foul pole, but I don’t think current Hicks is a loss.

I was stunned to see he actually had a 1.8 bWAR this year. A .330 OBP while physically occupying center field goes a long way these days
