Late 2023-early 2024 was mostly ass for me—huge workplace tumult, moving into a rental while we started a major home renovation that the neighbors are still being twats about, parenting an autistic teen starting high school, and one of my few sources of joy was the appointment viewing that last seasons’s Celtics proved themselves to be. Getting to go to game one of the finals was a thrill. Ups and downs continue, but the Celtics have remained a constant and an often warm reminder of my early years in Boston (we moved away in ‘85) when they were the only game in town. Thankful to be able to share in the experience here.

I freely confess I don't know much about basketball, certainly not about advanced metrics. I watch because I love the grace and the flow of the game, it's an aesthetic delight. But you all have taught me so much, and deepened my appreciation for and understanding of the game. And you do so in ways that are clever and helpful, never condescending. So I've got a lot of gratitude in my heart for the Port Cellar dwellers, Thanks one and all.
