He was an awesome teammate and good guy. Thanks for everything Brock. Would love to see him come back in some capacity.

My understanding is that nobody was better about visiting sick kids than BROCKHOLT.

Happy retirement, BROCKHOLT! You deserve it.

I went to one of the "lunch with a player" events with Brock Holt. It would be more accurately described as "lunch by yourselves with a photo op after you're done," but Brock seemed like he was actually happy to be there. And I got a picture with me, my wife, and Brock with our Steve Holt arms in the air.

Does the 100% player pension still kick in at 10 years? He made it for that and for a chance for a single Hall of Fame vote from a friendly writer if he ever made it on the ballot.

I remember kinda liking Holt as the throw-in in the Hanrahan deal, thinking he had a young Bill Mueller vibe. Good contact, eye, solid D. Different career, but we’ll take it! A BROCKSTAR in all ways.

where I was last at
Brock played the game with a smile and with energy. He was the protypical utility guy who would play anywhere and do it pretty well. He was a great ambassador for the Sox and if he desires I imagine he would bring the same charisma and winning style to whatever field he desires

The only player that I can mention via text to my kid without using his name. A simple \o/ gets it. Loved every minute of his time in the field. Add in the charity and community stuff and BROCKHOLT was too good for us.

Thank you again, BROCKSTAR, for all the good times.

Also....please do some NESN booth work for us, Brock.

One of the absolute most fun players to watch. Can’t remember what year it was when he was playing out of his kind and was the MVP of the team but was so awesome.

His 2018 cycle in New York was amazing

The cycle against NY was his best game that postseason, but he was huge in Game 4 vs LA. He walked and scored on the Moreland pinch hit homerun that cut it to 4-3, then doubled and scored the go ahead run in the big 9th inning.

He has a video montage on his Instagram with the caption: "Hard to believe the analytics didn't like this player."

What follows is footage of errors and bad looking plays. BROCKSTAR.

That is outstanding, so hilarious. Also a great shot of him lobbing in a softball pitch for a strike :)

Apologies for resurrecting this thread, but YES -- BROCK HOLT as NESN color commentator! BROCK HOLT as relief pitcher. BROCK HOLT in the WALLY costume. BROCK HOLT as negotiator to resign Devers. He can do anything with a smile.

Seriously, I'd love to see BROCK HOLT become a lifer with the Red Sox organization.
