If they let him back on the new concussion protocols are a joke, He could barely stay upright.

Edit- Wow, they let him back on.

California. Duh.
Obviously I hope he can finish the game, but I really hope he was just down because he was split open, and not because of a possible concussion.

A similar injury happened to Koscielny a couple weeks back.  He ended up being subbed off after giving up a goal, as he clearly wasn't all there.  Hope Lovren isn't a repeat of that.  Hate to see players back on the pitch after head injuries.

It's a difficult call, because obviously you can't play a man short for 15 minutes while the player gets checked. You pretty much need to decide immediately whether to sub the player off.

It is good to see the independent doctor involved, hopefully that means he's legitimately OK to continue.

Are we sure Sterling isn't really Italian?

Edit- Actually the entire Liverpool Squad is dive happy.

Ugh, all 3 subs used. If he has to come off this is trouble

Edit- he's on but limping around badly.

Since he had been limping earlier, it may have not been the smartest thing for Big Sam to use his last sub with 15 minutes left.

So does it piss off Liverpool fans that a huge part of this game has been Stewart Downing badly outperforming Gerrard?

There is a long and annoying tradition of ex-Liverpool players having better games against us than they ever had for us.

Not especially - the horror show defending on set pieces is still the primary culprit for having lost 3 of 5 to start the season. Having Allen, Sturridge, and Can hurt doesn't help either.

The team have the pieces (when Sturridge is healthy) to compete even with Gerrard effectively neutralized. Gerrard's already appearing tired, so it's up to Rodgers to figure out how Lucas, Allen, Henderson, and Can can fit into that role to help keep him fresh.

I may not be seeing things correctly here but it seemed like Skrtel had a fucking awful game (not that the rest of the defense was much better)

I guess that's not very timely nor appropriate.

I smell a marketing campaign.

Maybe Pardew and Wenger can just switch jobs. You know, mix it up a little.

Please no. Arsenal fans are miserable enough, that might make some of them suicidal.

Actually, on second thought...

WTF? Is NBC really not showing an BPL games today, either on tv or live extra?

Does anyone have a good streaming alternative?

Leicester ties it at 3 with 2 goals in 2 minutes, the first coming on a questionable PK call.
