The fact that he was still on the free agent market until March 19 when the Sox signed him was the tip off that his days in the majors were numbered. With people coming off the disabled list and maybe more prospects arriving, the end for Danish, Sawamura and Diekman may not be far off

He had insane variance with the Sox. He was so bad when they first got him, then he was unhittable in September, unhittable again in April, and unplayable since the beginning of June.

This really is a Lament for Roble, finding out about his release on the Midnight Radio. I am sure Hansel is screaming that they ”can’t Tear Me Down” and will return successfully as Hedwig. Much more than an Angry Inch in this Wicked Little Town.

As per usual, when the question is, "what are they going to do," the answer is, "these things usually takes care of themselves."

Thanks for pitching every day last September.

The Parade of Hor-Robles finally draws to a close.

Thank you for your service, Hansel. May the trail of breadcrumbs lead you far away from from Boston.

I'll always thank him for closing those crucial games against the Nats last October.

But yeah, he was looking at the end of the line here in 2022.

Bull pen additions are usually crapshoots. CB acquired 4 strong Arms last Winter but (unfortunately) just Throwers, not Pitchers.

Several posters on last night's game thread suggested he be shot into the sun, but the problem with that idea was, he'd miss wide.

DFA is better.

Are there any any teams obviously tanking this year? If so, maybe Boston can trade him for a used 1B glove and half a bag of sunflower seeds.

I think we can get better terms. We already have a very slightly used 1B glove (Dalbec's) so let's just ask for a full bag of sunflower seeds.
