In the early game, Ederson grabs Gordon’s leg in the box, gives up a pen and gets a booking. Gordon converts and it’s 1-1.

Barcodes all over City suddenly. City can’t clear and VAR looking at a second pen possibility

Newcastle have been great. Certainly defended deep but had a plan to really hurt on the counter and probably have been better on the whole. Gonna be an adjustment period without Rodri Newcastle had a lot of joy thugging up the midfield and pressing high. Gundogan had an all time two left feet match and nowhere near enough quality today

To the extent City had anything today it came through Grealish. But it wasn’t enough.

Brentford at 40 seconds!

The Hammers are a disaster at present.

Wild start to Chelsea/Brighton. Seagulls strike first off an awful decision by Robert Sanchez to try and claim a ball he had no chance of gettin, then in a span of about five minutes Cole Palmer (1) hits the post, (2) buries one but is offside, (3) finally gets the equalizer. Then another Chelsea goal chalked off for offside. Brighton playing a high line that should make for a lot of action both ways.

astride the divide
Van Hekke and Veltman missing from Brighton's back line, but they need to try something else. There's another yellow on a borderline scoring chance. What a mess.

Edit: wow what a free kick by Palmer. Hat trick.

It’s Sanchez in goal v. the Brighton defense for who can make the most errors leading to goals.

Everton down 0-1 to Palace at halftime, looking sluggish and confused. This is when I hate how the Goodison crowd can get toxic but Dyche is giving them nothing to get excited about,

I was about to complain about a weak yellow against arsenal, but then the ref saw a similar play and gave a weak yellow to Lecister...so um at least he is being consistent.

Fucking Everton, every time.

I mean, I like Everton, but it's getting harder when they keep doing these crazy comebacks against Palace.

McNeil with a brace: worldie from 35 yards and then a half volley from just inside the post. Goodson is rocking now. Dycheball!

What a finish. Leicester have been completely dominated in this game, but one lucky deflection and a fucking amazing volley wondergoal and they are level.

Ref gives advantage at the top of the box instead of a great freekick and wont give the foul when the team doesn't take the advantage...bad reffing

So Leicester has spent the last 30 minutes of the game with 10 behind the ball and lots of injury breaks.

Will the media complain about how they shouldn't play like that? Asking for a friend.

Corner FC gets it done you can search for a new conspiracy theory for another week
Lol, not a conspiracy. Leicester played great and the GK was amazing but very behind the ball.

Just asking why when Arsenal does it with 10 men the media complains, but yet Leicester would be celebrated...

Maybe because one of those teams wants to win the Prem and it makes little sense for teams at the top to play for a pokin but a relegation candidate sneaking a point against Arsenal would be huge for them?

Maybe the "media uproar" last week was really not much of one and most of what City was complaining about was the absurdity of it? Nobody likes watching a team get extra cynical against them and Arsenal sent their physio on the pitch with the ball in play and had a pig pile on Raya every time he caught the ball. They sent a sub to tell the keeper to take an injury. All this is fine, everyone wants their team to do it when in the situation Arsenal was in but you don't get to do villain things then whine "why is everyone calling us the villain".

I don't hate your point, fair play to you.

Could have done with an insurance goal there to help my blood pressure but I’ll take it. Top of the league

Ipswich-Villa quite entertaining. 1-1 after 16’. Tractor Boys have had the better of it but Villa equalized on an error.

Watkins puts Villa up a goal, 2-1, but Ipswitch has had opportunities, some great saves by Emi Martinez to avoid the equalizer.

First time watching Ipswich. Their attack is pretty good. Delap looks like a real 9. Crisp passing and quick movement in the buildup. Two excellent saves from Emi to keep it at 2-1 Villa.
