Although an offside attack by Havertz has been the single most dangerous moment, Fulham have had the better of it, a quarter way through. Decordova-Reid and Willian are looking lively.

Kepa with a strong hand to turn aside a rocket from Andreas. Best chance of the game. That finds the back of the net more often than not.

Ream is lashing balls 30-40 yards, on a dime and beautifully weighted.

CHEEKY! Little chip from (Havertz?) bloops over the keeper but hits the post.

Arsenal's lineup is out and they're sticking with their standard starting lineup (obviously Nketiah up top for Jesus). Trossard, Jorginho and Kiwior are all available off the bench. Hopefully, the Gunners get a few goals up early on the struggling Toffes(sorry OCST) and can integrate some of the new arrivals and get a bit of rest for the regulars.

Saka is down at 15 with a finger to the eye. Arsenal have had the ball but Everton have been energetic. No serious chances yet.

After a few minutes getting his eye looked at Saka is back up

Everton definitely look feisty and well organized, and Goodison sounds like it’s rocking. Will be interesting to see if both the players and the crowd can keep up the intensity.

Toffees organization work rate spirit mikes ahead of Franks last games. On the front foot now, two excellent chances. Goodison loves it.

Dom juuuuust missed getting there in time for the first. Doucoure header on the second was awful - unforced error

Tbh I expected to get good play and >0 pts from this and the Anfield derby next game. It’s the Villas and Forests and such where we can’t get it done

Liverpool aren’t a relegation side but they’re certainly playing like one. If Konate’s injury is serious enough to keep him out for that one I’d be shocked if Everton aren’t favored outright by the bookies. The managerial bump is absolutely real, especially when the new guy is competent and serious. Everton are going to rue sticking with Lampard for so long if today’s form is a better indicator of the squad’s potential.

Full credit to Everton so far this match. Stadium is absolutely rocking as well. At this point, 3 points will feel like sterling if Arsenal can manage a goal and keeping a clean sheet.

Everton are working so hard it wouldn’t be a surprise if they give one up late. Plus Calvert Lewin was a phenomenal outlet and Maupay isn’t winning much. It was a fairly classic “win the second balls” strategy but you need to contest the first ball to do that and Maupay isn’t doing it.

Calvert Lewins health looms large for Evertons survival. Dyche has a fairly large team here they can give a lot of teams fits if they can get some hold up play and runners

If time wasting to that degree was punished with a red card it would be obliterated from the game instantly.

I am visiting the west coast and got up way too early to watch Union Berlin - Mainz. And rewarded with a 1-0 Union lead, and putting Union atop the live table.

I resisted sacking Lampard on the ground that the revolving door had to stop, we had to give managers a chance and not keep chopping and changing. And Lampard did just enough at intervals to have me hold off. But I was wrong.

Lampard is an effective leader of men but has no ability to install a coherent system on the pitch that holds for 90 minutes. He can get results through inspiration but eventually that devolves into individuals intermittently pressing in isolation as their stamina and interest levels dictate, and yhere is no defense at all.

Only one game but this should have been done much sooner. I haven’t seen an Everton side play with such cohesion in a long time. Arsenal had the ball but did nothing. Pickford was never troubled. Everton won the battles. Even playing a compact defensive shape they got Dom more service than he’s seen in a game all season . Doucoure started in the middle for the first time in ages and had two chances fall to him that he badly scuffed- ab in form player does better. McNeil looked 1000% better than he ever has this season. Onana was everywhere.

Goodison was in full throat. This was a pleasure.

Everton beating Arsenal and playing perfect Dysche-Ball is extremely funny.
