That was the worst half I’ve watched Liverpool play at home in years … probably should be two or three down.
They look as jittery as a rattlesnake in a room full of rocking chairs
Far too many passengers - Tsimikas was dreadful - as was Szobozlai .. did he even get a touch?
Seems to be a structural problem as well - Brighton moving effortlessly up the field.

And now Konate seems to have hurt his arm or shoulder badly.
Slot has a midfield problem. I’m not sure what balance between personal and tactics is responsible, but it’s been too easy for the past several opponents to build through the midfield like a training exercise.

Crowd is finally into it and the team is starting to step up. Jones and Diaz can‘t be far from entering.
I never want to say until they are done, as players can sometimes damage their legacy on the way out, but he's approaching the Dalglish, Gerrard, Rush tier for me. Will be the player this era is most remembered for.

Joe Gomez had a great game defensively after coming on. Was left exposed a few times and did really well to stop some good chances for Brighton. He scares me at times when he's put out wide, but looked really solid at CB.
Spurs dominate possession but Villa strike first on a corner. 20 goals allowed on set pieces under Ange, according to the broadcast just now, if I heard it right.
Vicario is generally bad at set pieces but I don’t think the goal is on him. The corner took a double deflection off two Spurs players before he saved the initial attempt, which was actually a good save. Just unfortunate that the rebound fell to Rogers. But the real fault here is on the multiple Spurs players who had chances to clear the ball away and instead flicked it towards their own goal.
That’s the value of a good #10. Kulu has done nothing in this game but then plays a beautiful first-time reverse throughball to put Solanke in on goal.
