Let the mind games begin.

Speaking the Liverpool’s website, Klopp said: “I respect a lot what they (City) do, it’s an insane football team. And, for me, the world’s best manager.

“So, that’s a combination which makes it quite tricky. But, the good news, they are human beings as well.

“If I would be a different person I would be, probably, a little bit depressed about the fact that Pep Guardiola is constantly coaching these kind of teams.

I was distracted watching UCL, so I just realized Everton lost their must win or at least draw game yesterday. They are well and truly fucked as far as staying up.

They still have:

-Liverpool
-Liecester x 2
-Man U
-Arsenal
-Chelsea
-Palace

All of which are difficult to see them grabbing a point with their current form.

Then Brentford & away to Watford, which is their only direct relegation competition match.

Totally. I can't really believe it, but if they get relegated, where does he go from here?
Who knows...whoever is advising him doesn't have a clue...what he should do is start at a lower league squad or join the bench of an experienced coach but he thinks much more of himself than that (or so it appears). He was fine at Derby, but didn't actually improve them and you could see weaknesses with this tactics and in-game adjustments. Same thing followed him to Chelsea only he was exposed on a larger stage. After that public failure (it literally took Tuchel less than a week to shore up the back at Chelsea), he should have taken a step back but instead jumped to a huge job at a club that was/is frightfully disjointed and he (and everton) are paying the price.

Honestly, thinking about it, I bet he'd make a good academy manager at a well run club. He has seemed to work well with young players and could be a real draw for an academy looking to recruit young talent.

I don’t blame Frank for jumping to Chelsea. When a super club calls, I think you have to answer because you never know if the opportunity will ring again. Plus, when you get fired from a job on high, mid-level clubs will offer you a job because they think super club cast offs are a safer option? I don’t really get it.

Anyway, Frank needed a stronger staff around him at Chelsea to balance his inexperience. I find it refreshing that ETH looks to be bringing McLaren back to United.

as for why Frank though he could Big Sam things for Everton…or why Everton thought the same…

I don't know if I agree with the bolded, especially when it is likely to end in failure. Your second ppoint makes some sense in that that Big Job on a resume can catch an eye, but when you're a failure at a big job, I don't know that that helps per se.

Frank going to Chelsea was understandable I guess, but he probably blew his only shot to manage them because he wasn't fucking ready. It's all so very shortsighted and it happens often. And from what I've seen of Frank as a manager at three different jobs, I'm not sure there's strong enough staff to help him. Unless he was willing to give up most of the reins.

Goal for Everton against the run of play - nice strike from Gordon, deflects off you-know-who straight past De Gea

Lampard sticking it to Dyche for saying Everton can't win, but Utd's manager talk swirling around the team appeared to be the perfect opponent. I'm thinking UTd would give up on Ranick in the same way City gave up on Pellegrini as Pep was announced.

Xhaka as LB for Arsenal will be fun

Leeds looking early like they want to keep it interesting for their fans. Sloppy loose passing, they need to be told they’re not free for summer break yet.

Yet up 1 - 0, such is life in the relegation scrap.

Villa are the least-pressing side in the EPL but they are giving Tottenham all sorts of trouble.

One of those games that would drive me insane if Spurs were on the other end of it.

Villa well on top but flubbing some chances and Hugo standing very strong for the rest.

Just hoping Conte yelled at all of them a lot at half time and they'll come out renewed. It's the distribution from the back not being able to make Villa pay for pressing them that is really letting them down.

For anyone interested in the Berlin derby, Union leads 3-1 at the Olympiastadion. That score actually flatters Hertha in my opinion. Union has 12 shots on target compared to Hertha's 2, for example.

Hertha is in real danger of relegation.

When was the last time Tottenham looked this good?
Second half of last week? The whole City game?

Kane in the middle with two finishers of this quality is just unfair.

I'd really prefer to see Bergwyn over Lucas here.

And now 4-1 as Sven Michel scores his first goal for Union. He was who Union brought in to replace Max Kruse.

It's funny; I read an article from The Athletic earlier this week that polled their EPL writers about how they thought the end of the season would shake out. All the writers picked Arsenal to make the UCL over Tottenham.

Spurs have an easier end of season schedule though. Not too surprising to see a young team faltering against supposed weaker opponents right now, although both CP and Brighton can be cagey. Both shouldn't finish below Utd - that would be the failure for both teams

And missing Partey. He’s widely underrated. Partey just dragged Ghana into the World Cup and has been the midfield engine driving Arsenal.

i sure hope Tyrick Mitchell coming off in the 34th minute is out of an abundance of caution ahead of the semi-final, and not something serious.
