ITV announcers somewhat critical of Richarlison's last shot on goal; sounds like they felt he should have gone with his left foot instead of his right

He looks so bad so often, but he scores goals.

And just as I say that, he gets tackled away from a near-certain goal.
Was just going to comment on that! Also from reading the threat and from the announcers sounds like oversleeping and missing the first half hour was not a bad choice on my part; sounds like things were rocky to start.

It was a worse start than normal. They have been slow starters all year, and I felt if they could weather the original onslaught, they would be in good position. But the first 20 minutes or so was ugly. I hate to say it, but having Townsend leave the game with an injury seemed to be a big help.

Everton looking a bit better recently with a few more chances; and Palace just missed another good opportunity with a Zaha to Olise pass though the shot was juuuust a bit wide

Zaha! 3-0! What a wild lucky goal. Olise with a big looping kick, hits the far crossbar, bounces right to Zaha who pokes it in. Real lucky for Palace, real unlucky for Everton.

Been that kind of day...hopefully they can save some luck for the likely opponents coming up.

Gallagher with a shot with a great save by the Everton keeper followed by Hughes with the rebound. 4-0 Palace. Wild

Far Post (there’s only one crossbar in each goal) :)

Does anyone know if Gallagher would be allowed to play if Palace draw Chelsea? I know he can’t in the PL, and I’d assume it’s an FA rule, but not sure.

My understanding is No. England does not allow loan players to play against their parent club. (I’m interested to know what would happen if two English clubs met in the CL with a player on loan from one to the other)

Maddison had a world class free kick in that first half. Leicester looking too class today. Or Brentford looking relegated.

Listening the post-game on ITV it sounds like this is correct, they were talking about what a shame it would be for Gallagher if Palace draws Chelsea as he wouldn't be allowed to play.

This is a really big game between Tottenham and WHU. Big European consequences.

Oh! Should have been two. Son inches away from a brilliant team goal.

Spurs look incredible right now, every time they go forward it feels like they are going to put something interesting together.

and that’s why you don’t give such a good set piece team a very silly set piece, Matthew.

Spurs are so bad defending set pieces this season. Every one they concede is an adventure.

Stewards prevent the eco-protesters from changing themselves to the goal posts.

California. Duh.
This is the first meeting between Liverpool and Forest in the FA Cup since Hillsborough. Classy move by Forest to leave 97 seats empty in tribute.

For those that are newer to the sport, Nottingham Forest were once a powerhouse of the game. Between 1977 and 1981, these 2 sides won 5 straight European Cups.
