Simple as Arsenal having multiple guys who can deliver great corners consistently, and some excellent CBs to get on the end of them. I’m sure there’s secret sauce set piece coaching blah blah blah but they’re great players.Arsenal really really dangerous on their corners - overloading the back post. You’d think this is something the opposition could counter after seeing how they setup.
Free kick in a perfect spot here. They can’t…can they?Jamie Vardy is a legend.
d’ohMinteh screws 2 defenders into the ground to ice this for Brighton
early reports is that he clashed with Berrada over keeping Ten Haag this summer and then wanted Southgate over Amorim.Ashworth out at United. He was with the club for less time than it took to pry him away from Newcastle.
It’s a wonder how I bombed out of Jeff’s pick’em league already.d’oh
Chelsea pull one back at 16’ - gorgeous stroke by SanchoThis feels like a 5-4 game
Getting out of hand.Spurs fans throwing stuff on the field when Chelsea have a shooting opportunity. Must have some traveling fans from Honduras.
They are crumpled up pieces of cardboard that were handed out before the game to form a mosaic.Getting out of hand.
the objects being thrown appear to be all Spurs colored package wrappers, t shirts, something? Like there was a giveaway and the fans are all throwing the swag?
We could be heading for the Prem’s version of ten cent beer night
Nah it was definitely a pen, Bissouma didn't even protest.Only saw real time and not a replay but that did not look like a pen to me
True, but that penalty right there is the dumbest fucking thing ever. Palmer's on the edge of the box, back to goal, dribbling away from goal. Threat has been managed. No need to hit the guy with what would be an illegal-block-in-the-back on an NFL punt return. This is awful.
Chelsea deserve to win as Spurs have no midfield, but the combination of Chelsea players flying in with reckless challenges, and then exaggerating every finger laid on them as a blow to the head, is so annoying to watch.
My post came well before the latest mishap.True, but that penalty right there is the dumbest fucking thing ever. Palmer's on the edge of the box, back to goal, dribbling away from goal. There's always Everton!Ready to admit to war crimes by the end of this game. What on earth am I doing to myself?
The club structure thing is the big point here. People love to attribute mystical attributes to the soul of a club and maybe they're even right, but how Spurs are right now has a lot more to do with being both an overall quite young team and a shallow squad than with the general concept of Spursiness.I don't think Ange can solve the Spursy thing. Not sure who can, or if it's possible under the current club structure. He's made and will make mistakes but there's a softness about Spurs that no manager has been able solve.
