Ref gets a goal kick/corner decision wrong & Vardy unleashes a “fuck off” loud enough to wake the Queen.

Not sure if the club will provide him any meaningful reinforcements this winter, but Ruud has Leicester playing like a proper Premier level side.

Arsenal really really dangerous on their corners - overloading the back post. You’d think this is something the opposition could counter after seeing how they setup.
Simple as Arsenal having multiple guys who can deliver great corners consistently, and some excellent CBs to get on the end of them. I’m sure there’s secret sauce set piece coaching blah blah blah but they’re great players.

Minteh screws 2 defenders into the ground to ice this for Brighton.

Leicester need a true creative player to organize things and a left back to handle business. That’s a tough shopping list for a January window on a budget. I wonder if they can sort out a Chillwell loan reunion.

Ol man Vardy gets on the end of an excellent team move! I think Brighton had switched off a bit.

Fulham should have just let Arsenal score 15 minutes ago and got on with the business of playing football.

No scratch that...it's offside. This is a tough watch.

Leicester tied it up! Brighton can’t clear their line at the start of stoppage time & the men in blue surge forward.

I think they offsides rule needs to be updated given the current VAR, and I'm actually okay with the added precision on breakaways that VAR creates. That offsides call is so stupid. Martinelli goes backwards to receive the pass and it's behind a half dozen players.

Arsenal drop two points at the Cottage. Got a bit ill tempered towards the end. Fulham defended for their lives. I've always had a soft spot for Fulham, used to work down that way.

Ashworth out at United. He was with the club for less time than it took to pry him away from Newcastle.

Ashworth out at United. He was with the club for less time than it took to pry him away from Newcastle.
early reports is that he clashed with Berrada over keeping Ten Haag this summer and then wanted Southgate over Amorim.

It could be a smear tactic, as most people know the majority of United fans hated the thought of Southgate coming in. But it’s a bit unsettling that he didn’t even get a whole year to see what he could do.

4’ in to Spurs-Chelsea, and Cuccurella just falls down while dribbling at the halfway line. Brennan Johnson pounces, feeds Solanke and 4 seconds later its 1-0 Spurs

A nightmare for Chelsea, Kulu with a nice little bleeder thru traffic and just inside the post, and its 2-0

The way this weekend has gone, Liverpool dodged one with the postponement.

With the assist to Sancho, Cucurella is directly responsible for all 3 goals in this game

Spurs fans throwing stuff on the field when Chelsea have a shooting opportunity. Must have some traveling fans from Honduras.

Getting out of hand.

the objects being thrown appear to be all Spurs colored package wrappers, t shirts, something? Like there was a giveaway and the fans are all throwing the swag?
We could be heading for the Prem’s version of ten cent beer night

They are crumpled up pieces of cardboard that were handed out before the game to form a mosaic.

Obviously biased at the moment, but this is a pretty unlikeable Chelsea team.

This is awful.

Chelsea deserve to win as Spurs have no midfield, but the combination of Chelsea players flying in with reckless challenges, and then exaggerating every finger laid on them as a blow to the head, is so annoying to watch.

I don't think Ange can solve the Spursy thing. Not sure who can, or if it's possible under the current club structure. He's made and will make mistakes but there's a softness about Spurs that no manager has been able solve.

True, but that penalty right there is the dumbest fucking thing ever. Palmer's on the edge of the box, back to goal, dribbling away from goal. Threat has been managed. No need to hit the guy with what would be an illegal-block-in-the-back on an NFL punt return.

The club structure thing is the big point here. People love to attribute mystical attributes to the soul of a club and maybe they're even right, but how Spurs are right now has a lot more to do with being both an overall quite young team and a shallow squad than with the general concept of Spursiness.

Look at their triple change to try and rescue the match. It was Maddison and two 18 year olds. I quite like both 18 year olds to become real players eventually (Gray's damn near there now), but if yours subs bench and rotation options are the damn Children's Crusade in the festive period then yeah, you're gonna be pretty inconsistent.

this West Ham-Wolves match is the typical festive period tilt, which is to say, boring. It could use an upgrade to a rainy Tuesday night in Stoke.

not boring anymore. Lemina swings Bowen around by the jersey like he's doing an Olympic hammer throw, then tries to fight his own side one-against-all as they restrain him.

Hammers win 2-1.
