Golf at Eastward Ho!

Hi all,

I'm putting up a round of golf for three (since I'll need to be there hosting you) at Eastward Ho! in Chatham, MA. Guest fees are somewhere between $90 - $100 per person based on memory, so if bidding doesn't top $300, I'll just donate that amount to the cause. I'm a 14 handicap, so don't let any misplaced fear of playing with some random scratch golfer dissuade you from bidding. That's not me.

Here is a walkthrough with pictures so bidders can get a sense of the course. It's a pretty sweet round of golf that I have no business having access to other than lucking into neighbors who could sponsor me as a junior back in the day. If you like golf, it's worth a trip out to the cape.

@RFDA2000, since you will need to host - beyond needing to find something that works for you, are there any restrictions around when the round could be played? Weekend vs. weekday? Time of day? Thanks.

I work in education, so largely unrestricted in the summer. I will be out of the country for a couple weeks at the end of June beginning of July though. In the fall, it would have to be a weekend.

With respect to time of day, I don’t have any unworkable hours. Generally the stronger golfers at the club like to get out on the early side, with the elder statesmen jumping on later morning or early afternoon. I will say, it’s pretty special ending a round as the sun is getting low over Pleasant Bay.

Chicago
$600

(And, if anyone on here is in the Chicago area or will be this summer, I can offer a similar auction item for my home club. It's no Eastward Ho!, but she's a grand old course).

Sold to the three highest bidders: Congratulations @Average Game James , @Shawn O'Leary , and @Doug Beerabelli !

Just list SoSH and the auction item in the memo line on PayPal and we can finalize this--and you guys can figure out your foursome.

These always turn out to be fun, from what I understand.

And thank you!

I assumed one threesome being auctioned off to a single bidder, but sorry if I was not clear in my original post.

I was also under the impression it was one threesome to the high bidder, although if the logistics can be worked out I would certainly be open to having others who bid join me.

Unless we hear from the runners up soon, I’ll assume everyone bidding was on the same page. Then we can figure out when you want to golf.

Edit: Given that you and I had the same intention, let’s roll with your threesome. If either of the runners up we’re bidding as singles, I will happily take them out on a different day.

Whoops, that's my bad then. I'm an idiot, but I get it now. :)

I've got it sorted out, now, and yes: winner! Thank you and @RFDA2000 for this.
