Marcus Semien had 35 errors four years ago. Pretty remarkable he's a GG finalist this season (albeit with 20 errors).

I know I shouldn't care, but I do. I really want JBJ to start winning these.
So do I but I'm afraid it may be an uphill climb. Despite being a defensive award, offense gets looked at and most of the time, he just makes it look too damn easy. A ball hit to the gap looks like it's going to get down & there's Jackie, camped underneath, blowing a bubble.

I think Pearce has played an amazing first base, and I'm sorry that he isn't getting some recognition.
I just noticed that Shaw is on the list for third base, which he isn't playing anymore. Funny.

Rafael Palmeiro won GG's at first base in 1997, 1998, 1999 while playing 155,159, 28 games at that position. History (pitcher Jim Kaat won 16 consecutive) plays a part and also batting seems to play a role (even though it shouldn't).
