What an atrocious line from Durant. And he missed a layup that would have won the game. Can you imagine if LeBron had put up that kind of dud in the playoffs?
In a game where Durant/Westbrook missed 40 shots, Ibaka only took 7.

This is the first NBA game I've paid 100% attention to since the Celtics got fucked in the ass in game 4 of the Heat series in 2012. I still hate Dwight Howard, and am surprised how chickenshit Harden's game is.

JB Bickerstaff looks like a guy being asked to pilot a jet with only one real wing, no real engine and a flawed design upfront.

Big game for Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala and Livingston as well as the Warriors bigs. However, their undisputed MVP tonight was Draymond Green. He was a beast defensively, was a monster on the boards and distributed the ball with authority. The guy is just a complete basketball player.

As a fan of basketball/NBA (and of course, the Dubs), I hope we see lots of Draymond clones growing up. He's Bird in different hue. A man who can play the game from anywhere, in any way. So much better for league than another batch of specialists.

Edit: Bird hyperbole, but the point stands.

Heat/Cavs ECF is happening, isn't it? That and Spurs/Warriors WCF has to be Silver's wet dream.

Steve, you want to change your mind about playing Curry? No, I know. I do get tired of local Bay Area sports talk guys saying things like the Warriors can play the last 5 guys on the bench and beat Houston.

The rockets look like they don't even want to win the game. Like they know there is no point

That finish was a comedy of errors by both teams. At least we got a rare good round 1 game

Oh hey Draymond acted like a child again what a shock:

It's frustrating that someone so good is such a fucking clown.

Um, I take that as a "trying to foul" thing. Once the ball was in bounds, that was their only hope?
If it was, which I don't think it was, then he's a complete moron. It's away from the ball in the last two minutes which would be 2 shots and the ball.

I don't think it was though, it was just another case of him losing control of his emotions and acting petulant. He tried to guard Beasley who was the logical target, Beasley clamped the arm to try and get a call so he swung him around and down because he was frustrated that he had just blown the only chance to win the game.

I just don't think that's a good example of losing control of his emotions. As you say, Beasley clamped on his arm. I mean...I can see it both ways, but this one isn't enough for me.

Yeah arms tangled for two seconds and they scuffle a bit. About as big as nothing-to-see-here as can be.

In what world is that two guys getting their "arms tangled"? He grabs him and drags him to the floor. All Beasley's trying to do is not be grabbed and dragged down. If someone did that to me on a basketball court I'd be ripshit.

The entire scuffle lasted about 2.5 seconds and they each walked away without anyone else involved. Not exactly Ali-Frazier.

Fun last 2 minute report. 5 missed/bad calls. Biggest was that the game winning shot was an offensive foul (never every getting called in game), and Green has been assessed a Flagrant 1 by the league for the last play.

The Clippers just bitch about every single thing that happens them during a basketball game. For a team that throws so many awesome alley-opps they are a pain to watch.

I got the impression that Paul did that to take some of the heat off of what was a hard foul.

Yeah, it is almost like he gets in these moods sometimes while playing and he becomes just unbearable. He pushes McCollum in the air and CJ goes flying to the ground, and he stumbles over a women's purse and he acts like he severed his spinal cord.

Spurs did not mess around with the Grizz. 4 game sweep with an average margin of victory of 22 points per game. They can take a week off before the inevitable 2nd Round matchup with OKC.

That could be bad for Curry.

Would really be a kick to the gut for a sweat spot on the floor to be the cause for an injury to the game's most exciting player.

I've never seen a talented NBA team with as much quit as this Houston team, good luck to whoever tries to coach them next.

I'm guessing there will be quite a lot of turnover on this squad this summer. Michael Beasley's resurgence has been pretty remarkable.

Why is there a sculpture of a giant fist outside the Palace? Is it a political statement about what America has done to Detroit?
The Joe Louis fist? That's downtown, not sure if there's a replica at the Palace too.
