This time difference is brutal. Dark from 9:30-10am to 7pm EST every day. It's a drag and makes having the phenomenal NBC streaming app moderately useless.
I've been DVRing NBCSN overnight to get as much live stuff to watch as possible. Of course, you then have to watch it right after you wake up, or try to avoid spoilers all day. It definitely isn't great, but there's not much that can be done about it. They're already pushing things a bit to give us some live stuff in primetime - anything you're watching at 8 PM Eastern is happening at 10 AM over there. This time difference is brutal. Yes, it's definitely not NBC's fault and I think their app is actually incredible. The time different is just too extreme, making the day time on the east coast useless. I watched the women's moguls yesterday at 7am on the app.I've been DVRing NBCSN overnight to get as much live stuff to watch as possible. Are you using the app on a phone or the computer? This time difference is brutal. Dark from 9:30-10am to 7pm EST every day. It's a drag and makes having the phenomenal NBC streaming app moderately useless.
I'm using it on the Roku and on the Fire TV, usually simultaneously, and it has worked over 99% of the time. There was one point where it froze but it was brief. I haven't tried it on the computer. Are you using the app on a phone or the computer?
It sucks on the computer. It's not a internet issue for me, every other site is fine.
Dumb in a “This is bullshit, Russia shouldn’t be getting punished”, way, or a, “This is bullshit, Russia is supposed to be being punished, but they’re pretty much all here anyway”, way? This Olympic Athlete From Russia horseshit is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of in my life.
The latter. Sure, not every athelete was doping but the team itself sanctioned doping so shut 'er down.Dumb in a “This is bullshit, Russia shouldn’t be getting punished way”, or a, “This is bullshit, Russia is supposed to be being punished, but they’re pretty much all here anyway”, way?
I knew it was going to be lame when Putin went along with it so quickly. The latter. Sure, not every athelete was doping but the team itself sanctioned doping so shut 'er down.
Is this true? Fabulous, if so.Seriously, when you host the Olympics and build a trap door at the drug lab to sneak clean samples in,
She's kinda good at this half pipe thing, huh?
(Chloe Kim just tweeted "Wish I finished my breakfast sandwich but my stubborn self decided not to and now I'm getting hangry" 10 minutes ago - during the competition. Badass.)
https://www.yahoo.com/sports/shani-davis-speaks-opening-ceremony-drama-im-002502599.htmlIt's been 4 days since it was sent, wouldn't someone have said something by now if he didn't send it? It was one of the bigger stories going into the Olympics.
“It happened for the better, I probably needed the rest anyway,” Davis told Dutch newspaper Nederlandse Omroep Stichting. “But you know, once every four years, my fifth Olympics, I thought it would be really special to hold the flag. I guess the USOC and other people thought differently.”
After missing the Opening Ceremony, Davis tweeted again, this time in more general terms.
”It has been such an honor to have represented the greatest, most diverse country in the world at the last five Winter Games during the same month as #blackhistorymonth #goTeamUSA Watch ‘Origins of Black History Month,” he wrote.
Kelly got fucking porked tonight. The Americans should have easily swept the podium, but there seemed to be a plan in place to make sure that didn't happen. The Chinese boarder who finished in second with an 89.5 score wasn't close to any of the runs put down by Kelly, nor the final run by Gold. Americans should have went 1,2,3 based on the 1080 combos thye were throwing down at the top of the pipe. I have no idea how Kelly's third run didn't get her at least 3rd place, but it should have easily been good enough for 2nd.Panera or McDonalds or someone else needs to step and give this girl some sponsorship dollars.
Fantastic performance.
Halfpipe is like the winter version of the US 400m dash, it seems. Glad to see the baton passed so seamlessly. Kelly has been a fantastic torchbearer
Was anyone else offput by the commentator mentioning SEVERAL times that she is old? Like any time they mentioned her it was followed up with "SHE'S SO OLD AND CHLOE KIM IS SO YOUNG! ISN'T THAT WEIRD?!?!?"Kelly got fucking porked tonight. The Americans should have easily swept the podium, but there seemed to be a plan in place to make sure that didn't happen. She put her feet down coming out of/going into a turn, and the sled went sideways immediately. The sudden lack of control was really unsettling. Don't know how she walked that off.American luger Emily Sweeney with a big time wipeout during her final run. She was down for a while, but eventually got up on her own.
I've stated before I Am not a fan of the X-Box events, but the Men's qualifying in the halfpipe was just an insane blast of athletes (all of whom had qualified already), just throwing their best shit out there out of pride and ego Just insane, and compelling stuffThese guys are just throwing out insane runs, and it's only qualifying.
Only the first run, the judges want to give themselves some room, I think. If he did that to end the competition, it probably gets closer to 98.94.25 seems a little low.
Yes, typical judging, but I can’t imagine his perfect score run being much better than that. That looked golden.Only the first run, the judges want to give themselves some room, I think. If he did that to end the competition, it probably gets closer to 98.
And...ouch. Came down from about 15 feet, hit the lip on his hip, then fell 20 feet into the halfpipe.
Are they not showing this? Seems kind of incredible.White goes down on the 2nd run. He's in second, going to have the last run of the day to try and win the gold.
It's on NBC. They are pausing between the 2nd and 3rd round, should be back on in a few minutes. Are they not showing this? Seems kind of incredible.
He's been watching Jim Nantz videos for days"The Return of the King!"
"White is the New Gold!"
Dude just threw out 2 awful canned catch phrases REALLY hoping one will stick. Boo this man. Boo! Boo him!
