Man, the videos from close behind him on those batting cage pitches are awesome. It blows my mind that human beings are able to hit the pitches these guys throw.

Why is whitlock not behind a screen there?!

Well, the human being he was pitching to in that video didn't hit very many!

Really hoping Whitlock gets a rotation shot.

I hope that at some point both he and Houck get that shot and pitch at a high level as that would be a HUGE step toward some stability in this rotation for the next half dozen or so seasons. That said I hope one of them can remain in the pen this season because I've a feeling that we might need a quality multi inning guy available until it's clear that A) Rodriguez has been replaced by someone equally talented or better and B) Sale's comeback is complete and we know he's the best that he can be.
