Nice to see Palace finally realizing they need to get younger.
Well played….maybe they have to keep Roy so they can get a group rate on Metamucil or something.

I say this almost every season, but I’m pretty worried about next season. At least this season produced far less angst than normal. So maybe I’m ready for another relegation scrap.

When I picked Palace (or did they pick me) I really wouldn’t have imagined they’d be heading into their 9th consecutive PL season. I should play the lottery more.

I apparently was in the elevator when Ings scored like 15 minutes ago, and the new current score only just now registered with me. Ugh.

Looks likely that the title, top 4, and relegation will all be decided before the final week this year.

old enough to remember the Cavani signing being pilloried and Utd past its prime in securing talent...maybe Ole got what he needed all along
old enough to remember when everyone was questioning whether City was done in November
I'm old enough to remember how good Southampton fans felt when they spent one matchday atop the league table
So we’ve confirmed you’re at least a year old.

Havertz...man. Has a 1 on 1 situation with Leno after a terrible slip up by Mari and he skies it over the bar.

Never been impressed with Hudson-Odoi. Feels like the game is moving too fast for him. Hard to justify him getting significant time given how many attacking options they have.

Lol, then Jorginho with a total howler. 1-0 Arsenal.
I saw that goal and I still don't know what Jorginho was doing. Felt like he thought he was on the attack.

The advantage was the right decision, but would have loved to see the ref give the indirect free kick for the back pass on the goal line

Shit game from Chelsea keeps St. Totteringhams Day on the table.

Well .. that was interesting. The Chelsea / Leicester game is going to be something to behold. A Chelsea loss makes not finishing top 4 a very real possibility.

Liverpool’s maximum points is 69
So ...
Chelsea (64) makes it with two wins
Leicester (66) makes it with a win and a draw

Of course, that assumes 4 wins in a row by Liverpool, which is something they haven't pulled off all season. In fact, the only time they have won 3 straight was the first 3 games of the season.

Looking back through the results of this season is depressing. 5 games against Fulham, Brighton, and West Brom resulted in a total of 3 points.

But one of Chelsea and Leicester’s remaining games is against each other so at least one is dropping more points.

Edit: I clearly can’t read, you made the same point at the top of your message.

not sure what NBC is thinking making Rebecca Lowe asking Mustoe for response about a car blocking a bus that may or may not contain Liverpool players

Emi Martinez has had a great season for Villa. Nice piece of business for them. They've seen a 13.4 goal improvement in "Post-Shot Expected Goals Allowed minus Goals Allowed" (PSxGA-GA) this year versus last year.

Goalkeeper Matches Goals Allowed PSxGA-GA Clean Sheets
Emi Martinez 35 41 +7.2 15
2019-20 Aston Villa* 38 67 -6.2 7

* They used Heaton, Reina, and Nyland last year.
(Edit: Just editing to add a note that Emi's PSxGA-GA number is from before today's match, so it is probably a little better now.)

Yeah, seen him pop up on a lot of Team of the Year lists. I think most Arsenal fans knew after last year that Martinez was EPL quality, but wasn't going to beat out Leno for the job so it was a really nice pick-up for Villa.

Dortmund are about to clinch the trophy. I hope somehow Haaland winds up in Liverpool but ,if not, I just hope he goes to a team I don’t detest. He’s such a fun player to watch
