Arteta clearly watched the film from the Brighton match. When you press Spurs and take away the quick out-ball to Kane they just have no idea what to do. These is no plan at all to progress the ball.

Xhaka is out of his mind making that hard tackle in the box a minute after Spurs have someone sent off. Nothing came of it but that’s exactly how you get an “even it up” call

He’s such a shithouser that legitimately surprises me.
He's had 38 yellows before today but never two in the same game.

Xhaka seems jealous that Lamela outdid him for shithousery today and is struggling to catch up as quickly as possible.

There are many things I suspect Xhaka doesn’t understand but one of them is if you want to be that defensive enforcer hard man the best way to go about it is to seem to always be calm and in control. He always looks like he’s about to commit a red card offense

Arsenal have gotten too passive with the man up. Their press was so effective at 11v11! But now they are sitting back and letting Spurs get into some dangerous positions.

Moutinho in the pre-game team lineup holding a giant Mrs. Fields cookie with the Wolves logo on it?

Liverpool rolling out the same lineup they did against Red Bull. Scared to death about Traore running at Kabak and Phillips.

ooofffff....Allison drops a cross and clatters straight into Semedo while Kabak clears the loose ball. That could be a penalty...if we had a clear definition of such anymore...

No idea what is a penalty but hard to understand how that isn't a foul. Its one thing if the GK knocks into somebody on his way to the ball but Allisson comes down after the punch and then just barges into another player, preventing him from going for the loose ball.

Allisson makes a nice save a few minutes later. Wolves looking dangerous by Wolves standards (the bar is low here).

Traore offside, but he ran at both Kabak & Phillips such that he left an easy ball for Semedo. IT's going to be a loooooonnnggg match.

Thiago has looked slightly better lately but still commits so many dumb and pointless fouls

Wolves looked they just wanted to get to halftime tied and didn’t try to score during stoppage time, gave the ball up and then it came back to bite them.

Wolves getting opportunities to counter but just not making the final pass to this point... another for Liverpool would go a long, long way

Trent with a clumsy one on the edge of his own area, won't be shocked if VAR has a look

Thiago acting like he’s never been subbed before.

A Milner-Keita “Lethal Weapon” remake would be enjoyable.

Liverpool have no clue what to do with this lead. They're just hoofing it clear, panicking on the ball, etc

Pawson has been a mystery for both sides in this one

Uh... not sure what happened to Patricio, doesn't look great though

Sounds like Coady ran into him tracking back on Salah for the offside chance?

I'm sure Nuno is thrilled to be losing his starting keeper to a delayed offside flag

I rewound my DVD, Coady's knee hit Patricio is the head as he was chasing Salah.

The flag looked to go up after Salah had taken a touch and upon him putting it in, but yeah in reality it probably would not have made a difference in the outcome as Coady was sprinting back to try to tackle Salah

This is the longest injury break I’ve seen since Lloris broke his arm. Scary.

The replay is absolutely brutal. It would have brought back memories of a similar play that happened to me if I had any beyond seeing the footage later. The defender that cracked me refused to finish the season. Coady must be a wreck.

The delayed offside rule is awful but it didn’t play any part here.

Heart attack caused by Mane not running to the corner, but points are points. Phillips great again, Trent stepped up as well

Sometimes you don’t want to see a replay. The worst I can remember was Moises Alou getting his knee bent at. A 90 degree right angle

A win is a win , despite being rubbish. I don’t know what’s up with Thiago. Looked like he was headed for a second yellow for sure. Another good game for CB Combo #18. But the midfield was terrible and the forwards profligate with their chances.

In his cameo, Oxlade-Chamberlain looked much better than he has up to this point... if he and Keita can supplant Milner it's a net-positive, love the guy but his legs are just gone

Nuno's update on Patricio:

“The update from the doctors is he is OK,” said Nuno. “He is conscious and remembers what happens. We have to take the right precautions but he’s OK. It was big knock to his head. The next 48 hours are important. We have to wait. But he’s in good hands, being assessed by the doctors and they tell me he is OK.”
