West Ham score from a free kick, they had fallen into the relegation zone by Watford's win. Now Brighton is in the drop zone.
A draw would move West Ham back into the drop zone
Holding the win moves them past Watford and Villa as well as Brighton,

A second from West Ham. Have given it to Snodgrass, but it'll end up changed to an own goal, his volley was going well wide of the far post but hit a defender and deflected in near post.

Brighton corner punched by Fabianski, hits the back of a defender's head and into the net.

I’m late to the start, but I saw a replay of Firmino getting apparently incidentally knocked into or diving or something. What’s the point of VAR again?

That call should shut up the LiVARpool mouthbreathers forever.

It won’t, because morons love to show off their idiocy, but what can ya do.

This one is done and dusted now.....maybe get some time on Keita's legs??

Either I missed the sub or I'm growing old and demented - not sure I like either option.

Erling Håland is now tied for 10th in the Bundesliga for most goals in the 2019-20 season. He’s played 137 minutes.

Edit: He’s still second in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Everton all the way back with 10 men!

And I see Mbwana Samatta scores for Villa. Banner day for Tanzanian football!

The 718
Everton down 0-2 at 43’

Delph sent off at 70’

Walcott was so bad all game that Everton Twitter we’re rating him a 2

So of course Walcott scores at the death and Toffees win 2-3

They are fucking dire.

It’s not the lack of results that would bother me if I were a Man U supporter; it would be the lack of any coherent plan. You are going to make mistakes eventually and fall back. But they are staggering from window to window buying guys who come available. There doesn’t seem to be any strategic vision.

Thirty-five points from 25 games is mid-table material. They’re really lucky no one is playing well below the CL spots or they’d be looking at missing Europe.

Had to step out so missed the epic collapse of West Ham. Mark Noble, who last week admitted he can't play every week, and who West Ham fans can generally agree is barely premier League quality played 90 minutes. He was predictably terrible.

Moyes also got up 3-1 using a 4-3-3, so he switched to a 5-3-1-1 by taking off his best attacker for the worst defender on the roster (he's good in attack, but if you're switching to a defensive formation it's a weird choice). He's an awful manager.

A few interesting lineup decisions by Arteta:

Leno, Bellerin, Mustafi, David Luiz, Saka, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Ozil, Martinelli, Lacazette, Aubameyang
Mustafi is back in there after last seen being seen taken off the pitch in a stretcher, so while it looked like a painful one, he must be okay if he is getting the start over Sokratis.

Ozil and Lacazette have struggled on the road in particular, and at Turf Moor is the type of match Emery would never have played Ozil. I hope Lacazette can nab a goal and turn his form around.

Martinelli gets another well-earned start even with Aubameyang back, with Pepe being the one left out. I thought we might see Lacazette sit and Aubameyang central.

Guendouzi is in for Torreira. Guendouzi played pretty well at Bournemouth, while definitely winding up the crowd with his antics. Torreira has been great under Arteta, but 20 year old Guendouzi could probably use Arteta’s instruction and organization more than anyone. He has been inconsistent due to a chaotic style of play where he is sometimes intercepting balls and breaking the lines with nice passes, but other times he has been wildly out of position and running all over the pitch. A little added structure from Arteta could go a long way for his career.

Interesting to see Guendouzi (6’ 1”) man-marking Wood on Burnley corners. That may be a part of the reason why he got the start over Torreira (5’ 6”).

Very aggressive team selection from Jose, a 4-2-3-1 with a Lo Celso/Winks CM pairing. Risky for sure against City.

I agree with the commentators; I can understand how Mike Dean missed it in real time but on review it's an obvious red. What's the point of VAR if it's not going to overturn that?

Great goalkeeping by Ederson. If he isn’t super aware to come off his line that is a one on one breakaway for Son.
