I don't even pretend to know how we're marking gameweeks, but there are some fun matches today across a variety of competitions, so we should have a game thread for them all. Anyone can feel free to put some details in the thread title, or make some suggestions for it and I'll edit.

FA Cup
MANC @Petersborough (2:15 EST)
Stoke @Palace (2:30)
Spurs @Middlesborough (2:55)

EPL
LCFC @Burnley (2:45)

Coppa Italia
Inter @AC (derby Milanese!) (3pm)

Spurs break nicely, with Kane playing a key pass for Decki who plays a sublime ball forward for a bombing Doherty. Looks like Doherty is going to be 1v1 with the keeper but out of nowhere the keeper is off his line 40 yards. Doherty deftly beats him, then swiftly kicks the ball into row Z. Hilarious.

This match is begging for Lucas to skin some overmatched defenders. I'd also like to see Bergy get some well-deserved minutes. Not sure why Conte is asking for Son and Decki to contribute so much defensively.

If he's having a good one, hell yes, but the Boro defenders are also doing a good job getting into those 3 defender packs that he loves to dribble into and lose the ball when he's on a bad one.

True, but if you can't use Lucas in a FA Cup match against a Championship side, then you'll never use him.

Proper shithousery going on from Boro all match. Starting to up the temperature on the pitch for sure.

It's not Deki or Son's night, so the dice roll on Lucas and/or Bergwjin is fine by me.

Fuck this game is boring, technical difficulties are maybe the most exciting thing that's happened in it.

Middlesborough played very well, deserve to go on if they hold on.

In candylandriots soccer news, Palace advanced the the quarterfinals of the FA Cup, and Union Berlin the semis of the DFB Pokal
- both via 2-1 scores at home against solid second division clubs (Stoke & St. Pauli).

Not sure if its true but why not? Sure the club is a shit show but its still one of the bigger names in world football. The guy managed Everton and you don't think he'd be interested?

Leeds looking a more organized side today, and should have at least one goal here so far. A draw at Leicester would be a good day’s work for Marsch. But a half hour to go…

Welp, a nice team goal for Leicester capped off by a smooth give and go between Barnes and Inheanacho. Pretty stuff.

In a very American coaching moment, Marsch brought all his players to center pitch for a huddled up pep talk. Dallas was half way to the locker room before he got called back. Jesse was fist pumping and several heads were nodding in agreement. Tough day for Leeds - they were the beater side for 70 minutes and looked likely to score until Leicester made a beautiful sweeping move to score.

On the upside, seems like Bamford was available for a sub stint, though Marsch didn’t use him.

No Rebecca in the studio? Boo.

Just tuned into Wolfsburg-Union Berlin. Wolfsburg's typical VW logo has been replaced with a peace symbol. Nice touch.

think she is getting some time off after the Olympics.
Fareed is on paralympic duty - can't tell if Burmeister takes over the Liam McHugh role as first off the bench

in other news, Burnley seems to have more possession vs Chelsea today

Palace takes a 1-0 lead over the Wanderers on a pretty sequence; Gallagher to Zaha then Zaha with a cross to Mateta; Wanderers goalie dove to get the cross and ended up on the ground allowing Mateta to get around him for an easy goal; looks like an injury to Ki-Jana Hoever for the Wanderers as well

2-0 Palace now after a penalty kick by Zaha. Palace looking very good so far today (he said, definitely not jinxing them).

Having complicated feelings right now as a Chelsea fan, I can understand, but going into your “Roman Abramovitch” chant in the middle of Ukraine applause is pretty fucking gross.

I feel like Mané becomes less effective with every touch of the ball. He’s been dreadful through twenty.

You didn’t!!! Amazing first half, and the negative gameplan in the second half didn’t go wrong this time. Really nice to see them close out a win without making me nervous.

I always want to wait until it’s mathematically done (especially since Palace is at 28 games played, compared to a lot of the competition which has as few as 24), but I’m feeling confident about a 10th consecutive PL season with 33 points and 10 games to go.

Edit: @Mr Jums have you seen the Amazon documentary or checked out The Five Year Plan podcast?

This is really turning into a thing for me…
He’s still chipping in with goals so you can’t complain in that regards. But, I agree with you. He’s not the player he was a couple of years ago. And Liverpool know it ... Hence no contract offer and Luis Diaz’s arrival as the obvious replacement.

Mane is interesting as a CF but his touch seems to be a tad erratic if he’s involved in the buildup. He’s slightly miscast there. Expecting Jota after 60.

California. Duh.
On another day, that's a 3-1 loss for Liverpool. Fortunately, Moyes teams tend to forget how to finish at Anfield.

Eddie Howe might be good. Of the January signings, Guimaraes has hardly played and Chris Wood has played a fair but hasn't done anything. But they've still gotten 13 of the last possible 15 points because he has gotten a lot of good midfield play out of Shelvey, Willock, and, amazingly, Joelinton. It's a bit hard to tell how much is Howe and how much is the general sense that the club is no longer a dead end, but they look nothing like the Bruce edition of the team.

Gorgeous passing between Odegaard and Saka for an early first goal from Arsenal.

Except Cedric in for Tomiyasu it's a full first team from Arsenal today, which is expected after a 9 day layoff. It'd be particularly nice to give Partey and Xhaka off early for rest of they can get a few goal lead.
