Very tense game - not helped by the terrible refereeing.

3 points in the bank - but ..

I hated the gameplan - endless punting downfield - stark refusal to play out from the back. The Chelsea goal was exhibited A why Alisson is sorely missed. He’s best in class at that - Jackson probably doesn’t score.

Chelsea played really well - they won the midfield battle - Szoboszlai had a terrible game. Jones and Gravenbirch were excellent.

They needed big performances from the bench and Jones and Nunez both played great. I’d like to have seen Diaz kill some clock at the end there. Getting Harvey Elliott, Chiesa, and Jota healthy for this upcoming gauntlet of games would be nice.

I attended the Spurs/West Ham match today. My first EPL match. I’m not a huge futbol fan, but was in town for the Patriots game and wanted to experience it.

It was legitimately a top 5 sporting event of all time, and I’ve been to 10 superbowls, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals, and World Series games. The energy / passion and the caliber of play (we have AC FC tickets for with my daughters and it’s really the first exposure I’ve had to “professional soccer” was insane.

Such an incredible experience.

EDITL: Also…..”West Ham Gets BATTERED….Everywhere They GO! Everywhere THEY GO! EVERYWHERE THEY GO!”

(The songs/changs both pre/during/post were incredible. I know you all know this, but man, America is missing the boat on this)
Was it you who asked in the UKPatriots FB group, and someone was trying to talk into going to Charlton?
