Romero's goal was shit luck, but hard to say it's cruel to Brighton since they had two catastrophic turnovers that should have led to goals.

That keeper got caught so far out in no man's land he ended up in Flanders

What a carry and passing sequence from Ben10 and what a finish from Kane!

I was sure Bentacur had overcooked the pass, it was shocking to see Sanchez still on his line.

Kane denied an obvious 93rd minute penalty, for which there's inexplicably no VAR, under the "the game's almost over and the ref just wants to go home" Law.

I hope GD doesn't come into play in the race for a European spot, because Spurs just got hosed on non-PK call.

I don’t think any Liverpool fans were comfortable at halftime. I don’t know if Arsenal got tired or if Klopp gave the best hugs.

Arsenal played great in the first half, more than matched Liverpool. I can see a process. Liverpool found another gear in the second half, but Arsneal really made them work for the three points.

Get the right signings in the summer and they could really kick on. They're defo not going in the same direction as Man U.

Yep…Martinelli was a complete beast and had the beating of AA the first half. He seemed to tire noticeable after the break - along with the rest of his teammates.

4 matches against Liverpool this year: 0 goals.

Diabolical.
Today, at least, that was down to Fabinho. In the first half, TAA and Robertson were pinned back, blunting the attack. The adjustment saw Fabinho sliding into coverage positions or simply sweeping up behind them as needed.

He’s a brilliant player that was used brilliantly.

I thought the Odegaard miss was the turning point. Liverpool seemed to brighten up considerably after that.
Yup, that miss/save then Ramsdale getting beat at his near post by Jota.

I thought Arsenal played well for 50-55 minutes but Liverpool had the quality and composure to be more decisive in a couple key moments and then we were pretty tame for the last 30.

Better than getting blasted by you guys as has happened too often in the past. But still an important gap between the sides and a fair result that reflects that gap.

Arsenal also just needs better players in two key positions, CF and left 8. I thought Liverpool really did well to mark Odegaard out of the game but they could do that partly because Lacazette and Xhaka just aren’t real threats in the central areas of attack.

fwiw, Arsenal TV was pretty positive about tonight's match (and the season so far)....they seem to be drinking the kool aid and believing in the process

Huge assist from DCL too

Also huge assist from the guy who zip tied himself to the goal in a stop oil protest that led to 14 minutes of added time that Everton needed
